I watched the trailer. It certainly looks riff worthy. It also looks like a typical modern very low budget movie, and it lacks any charm of the old B movies because of that.

I'm sure MST3K can make a fun episode out of it. If not, oh well, there have been bad episodes of MST3K before, so...

On one hand, we did have Atlantic Rim which I enjoyed a lot. But this looks like something Asylum would reject. And I'm pretty sure the guy at ':20 was the bad guy from Star Raiders: The Adventures of Sabre Raine.

I would assume they are going for a mix of genres like they had been doing.

As an Alabama resident, I was extremely confused why that link was for AL.com (Alabama's most reliable go-to website). Seeing that the independent film is from some local filmmakers will be really great for the film community here which has been growing steadily. The latest pride and joy is the director of Godzilla vs King Kong getting a smash hit (after cult hits The Guest and You're Next). So good on these guys! I haven't really enjoyed this new era, but I'm gonna have to check this one out.

In a new episode of the Sklar Bros' podcast, Jonah says J Elvis Weinstein and Bill Corbett will be back as Joel's Tom and Crow. This was speculated during the Kickstarter, but it's nice to see some confirmation.

The discussion starts around the 28 minute mark.

Jonah also says he'll talk to Joel about getting Cheap Seats in the GizmoPlex.

Not to mention it also has the side benefit of explaining how the bots "got back" on the SOL from the end of Mike's run to the beginning of Jonah's; they're not the same bots!
