There is a twitter poll up asking if people are willing to pay more for Just The Jokes MP3s:

https://twitter.com/RiffTrax/status/1378086181951336450

So far about 75% say yes.  Honestly I would have no issues paying $7.99-$9.99 for a track.

I don't know about $10, but $7-8 is OK. They can probably get away with that better now because of the app and higher prevalence of streaming subscriptions. People like me who reauthor will have the added expense of DVDs, but it's worth it to get more blockbusters.

I read the comments of Facebook. That was a mistake. 99% of them said they have never and will never buy a JTJ mp3 because they hate syncing so much. Even the ones who own every VOD ever released. And the ones who have never attempted it before.

The fact that they would gladly plunk down cash sight-unseen of some clunkers (I'm sure you know the ones I'm talking about) but absolutely hate the idea of watching a riff of something like Twilight or The Room is just mind-boggling to me. They're missing out on some of the greatest jokes these guys have ever written because they can't be bothered with having to do anything more than click "Play" on a VOD.

Not sure if it's because my kid just started watching Wall-E for the first time, but I couldn't help but think of all of them like this:

So many people have missed out on some good riffs because they would refuse to buy the DVD... (Twilight, High School Musical, Crossroads to name a few)

THE RIFFTRAX APP DOES IT FOR THEM! *sigh*

Anyone who is a member of our Patreon can see what the next JTJ release is going to be - the Zoom Hangout that I previously mentioned has been announced.
Any issues with the RiffTrax main page should be directed to support@rifftrax.com Attempts to engage with me directly about such matters will result in ridicule.

During last night's The Mads show, Kevin said Rifftrax will be doing Face Off soon. I assume that will be JTJ.

Unsurprisingly, the DVDs are cheap on eBay (for you reauthorers).

Yep, that's the one that I was teasing.

I never upgraded my re-authoring to blu-ray, sadly. I sure would like to at some point.

A few years ago I went digital only. I really liked making the DVD covers and all that but I just ran out of free time to work on them. I used to have a printer that could print on blank DVDs so my copies looked good. But that printer died.  Once I started making my own Mp4s I never looked back. It is nice to have access to all the RiffTrax when I want via my Roku. I have a lot in HD. I already ripped my blu of Face/Off in anticipation of the release.

Battlefield Earth vs. The Wicker Man...it should be epic!  :D

If recommendations are being researched, I still think the Sandra Bullock film Premonition would be good material for a Riff  8)

Looks like Amazon has the BD for a reasonable price-

I don't create the physical DVDs anymore. I just create the DVD files and put them on my WD Live Media Player with all of my downloaded rifftrax. I really need to start making mp4s instead of DVD files, though, for the smaller files, better quality video, and surround audio (I tried to get the surround audio on my DVDs once, but ran into some issue that I can't remember). Plus, media players can be weird about playing DVD files.

I know this is probably Blue-Skying, but it would be awesome if the Rifftrax app could pull up movies that you have the rights to stream, scener-style, and just slap the commentary in there.
