Y'know, I should've asked Billy West when I met him, but it slipped my mind.

sarcasm_made_Easy

ps.  do you know why leela (or rather the voice of leela) never does any of the commentaries.

She might've been busy with her Sit-Com job.  She was on 6 Simple Rules for Dating my Daughter, or whatever it was called.

I would imagine that while Billy West, John DiMaggio, and Maurice Lamarche are all damn funny, Katey Sagal's pretty much just an actress with good comedic timing, and wouldn't have added much to the commentaries. Or maybe she just didn't want to spend the day in a cramped recording booth with a bunch of nerds.

personally i think she might see it more of a job, and doesnt want to get caught up in the nerdiness or the obsessive fans a show like this generates.

I wonder how aware Katey Sagal is that she's starred in arguably both the stupidest and smartest sitcoms ever aired.

Huh. I knew she could sing, but according to IMDb she had a successful career in the '70s backing up Bob Dylan, Bette Midler, Gene Simmons, and Tanya Tucker, and has played Locke's wife on Lost. Trivia is fun.

Seeing that we've veered so far off topic that a return isn't even a possbility....

I wouldn't slag Married with Children as the "stupidest sitcom ever". (Assuming you are referring to Sagal's work there and not on 8 Simple Rules, which has a better case for "stupidest sitcom" anyhow). I think Married with Children, during it's prime, was a pretty good "stupid-smart" show. Much like Beavis and Butthead, it was retarded at face value... but was a lot more clever (cleverer?) than people give it credit for. Granted, it ran about eight seasons too many... but it had it's moments early on.

Married With Children could be clever occasionally, but I still think it's in the running for stupidest sitcom. Not the worst, mind you, but the stupidest. Stupid can still be funny.
