Fuzzy Necromancer

This isn't the worst movie by far, or even the most incompetent, but it has a strange juxtaposition of generally decent-quality SFX and wastefully inelegant screenwriting.

Why did they spend so much time setting up the home-rock-salt delivery guy if the solution was going to be antifreeze?

Why did we spend half an hour of screentime with the girl drying her already-dry hair if the hair dryer wasn't even going to be introduced as a weakness for Jack Frost until later in the film?

Were the film makers just unaware of how toxic antifreeze is to humans?

How was Jack Frost able to kill the prison guard despite being secured in place across the container from him?

Why did they spend so much time establishing the snowman contest and the abundance of snowmen when it didn't really play into the plot that much?

Why the clumsy "Uncle telling story to squeaky-voiced little girl" framing device? We didn't come back to it, it didn't tie into any of the characters, and it didn't add anything to the film.
Love doesn't hurt. It kills.
