A Talking Cat!?!? is a fantastic episode of the Flophouse Podcast featuring awesome new head writer Elliott Kalan.

I started the Flophouse when my computer went bad.  It was fine at first but when Elliott joined the cast it improved SO much.  I probably won't keep with it (too many podcasts), but he is so great.

Tried a new theater this time, Silverado IMAX in Houston. So far its the one theater in the Houston area I've seen that remembers to turn the lights down as the show goes live, so it got major points in my book. About half-full theater, lots of laughing, plenty of Crow and Servo shirts around to go with mine.

Loved the show, got surprisingly emotional when Joel came out for the first time, came close to tears with nostalgia hearing Trace riffing again. I mean, I've seen some Cinematic Titanic, it's not like it's been forever since I heard him, but something about his voice just hit me in the brain and heart at once.

Saw it in Lacey, WA, in a mostly-full theater. They announced "technical difficulties" right at 8pm but luckily they got the stream going just in time for the show to start. (Were there pre-show slides this time? If so, we missed them).

Biggest reaction in our theater was to the Sleater-Kinney joke, they're from one town over and the theater was just a few blocks away from the street the band was named after.

Pak-Man

And how about that highlight reel? Those were a bunch of my favorite riffs of all time.

That was more awesome that I thought it would be. Loved everything except maybe, ironically (since Joel was in it), the beautician one. That was probably the weakest, but still good. Even ones I saw before (Shake Hands and Grasses) were good simply because they are awesome shorts. Though it's a pity Kevin couldn't do the 'Fall in worship with the grass headress) bit in the Live one wasn't rehashed. The group I was with had seen none of those before and loved everything.

Damn glad I coughed up enough dough to get the DVD/Blu Ray. Makes me feel better than ever about contributing to the kickstarter.

Will there still be a DVD/Blu for people to purchase later? Loved the show!

I assume they will produce extra to sell, but not sure.

Well, I guess it depends how many DVD/blu rays they normally sell, and if it's worth it. They haven't been producing them lately, so..?

They've got a new series to hype?

Rifftrax don't.

My assumption is that they will produce them, I'm just saying I could see reasons to not produce them too.

They're already committed to doing a run of DVDs for one of the rewards for the kickstarter. So since they are already investing the initial money for the production of the DVD, making extras over the minimum needed isn't that hard. Typically the more you contract a company to do the lower the price per unit as well.

Yes, but that's only one part of the story. They know what numbers they normally sell, and what it costs them to warehouse the leftovers.

I thought they just dumped them all in Kevin's living room.
I survived the San Diego Comic Con 2010 Hall H stabbing.
