Mike,
Most of your fans are well aware of your likes and dislikes throughout the film industry.  So, can you fill us in on some movies that you actually like?  Can you tell us what your top three films are, based on artistry, comedy, or simply a "fun-factor?"  More simply, what films do you enjoy because they are good films, and not because they are silly or easy riff material?

Mike,

To a lesser degree with MST3K, and a blatant degree with Movie Megacheese and RiffTrax, you've got lotsa not-so-nice things to say about various people in Hollywood and you and other riffers never shy away from it. It's obvious that it's all in good fun and tongue-in-cheek, but have you ever had an A or B-list celebrity that you knew to be pissed off at you for a comment you made? And, if so, can you jucily divulge that person's name?

In several discussions on this forum we've gotten into the discussion "Which movies will never be made into a rifftrax"  Obvious titles would be movies like Schindler's List and World Trade Center.  My question is more specific.   Some of the films, you've done, have been movies that you like and some that it is fairly obvious you dislike.   Here is my question-

Are there any movies that won't be made into rifftrax simply because they are so bad that you don't want to watch them to come up with material?

Mike,

Do your kids ever start riffing films, and is that sorta disturbing?

Dear Mike,

If Mystery Science Theater 3000 was somehow put back on Television (Not Re-runs), And they asked you back on the show would you except? (Along with Kevin and Bill).

Also

Can you tell us where Joel is?... If he is ok?... Is he alive? o.o

Last Question : Will you ever at least do a Rifftrax with Joel?

Hello,
big fan

So I was wondering if you are working on any screen plays? ... or if thats even something that you are interested in.

It goes without saying that you can write something much much better than "date movie". Anyway keep up the great work.

Hello Mike,

Has your unique take on movies ever influenced a filmmaker/actor to change their habits?

More specifically, has anyone told you that they realized how bad they were at making movies and have made an effort at improving their practice?
Anytime someone offers you 10,000 to 1 odds, you take it.
Lets just say if John Mellancamp ever wins an Oscar, I'll be a rich man.

Hello Mike,

Do you own any of the Rhino DVD's of MST3K? What do you think of the Rhino MST DVD releases? Also, has moving to CA made it harder or easier to keep in touch with your fellow MST alumni?

Natureboy

Mike,

Do you do any of your joke writing at home and does your family help you with coming up with any of the joke ideas?

Hey Mike!

Will you be interested in bringing the Rifftrax crew to Dallas Texas for a live riffing at next year's All-Con?

You have 11 months to make your decision.

Mike,
I have a problem that has vexed me for some time. Perhaps you can help. Do you happen to know where my special lucky blue socks have gone? The last time I saw them they were in my drawer at Little Rock AFB. This was around 1995. The subsequent years have been unkind to me thus far and I believe it is all due to the loss of my socks. Any help would be appreciated.
Grapes? I hate grapes, I can't stand grapes. I loathe grapes. All kinds of grapes. I hate green grapes and I hate purple grapes. I hate grapes with seeds, I hate grapes without seeds. I hate them peeled and nonpeeled. I hate them in bunches, one at a time and in small groups of twos and threes.

Thanks for putting up with us, Mike!

I was wondering what the creative exercise of turing from nonfiction to fiction was like.  You strike me as someone who would be pretty structured while approaching plot development, so I was wondering, when you wrote Death Rat, if you ever ran into issues with constructing character development, pace, and dialogue.  What were the hardest and easiest parts of that?

And just outta curiosity, did you go through any other names while deciding what to christen Rifftrax?  (I ask this only because I was once invited to write for a spirituality site entitled "Faith Invaders."  I declined.)

Dear Mike,

As you may know (but have, like everyone, forgotten already), space travel in privately owned and operated craft is the way of the future.  If such technology were developed as to make it feasible, would you consider broadcasting a live riff FROM OUTER SPACE?  I think that would be great, and not at all pointless and insane.

P.S. I'm writing this from a wireless connection in the trunk of a lime green '95 Dodge Neon.  Please send help - they have guns.
Correction: the coat hanger should be upside down.
