Welcome to the forum! Holy cow!

I would just like to say Manos was may favorite MST3K episode ever. "HANDS! HAAAAAAANDS of FATE!"

I heard some weird rumor though that some of the actors in that movie committed suicide after making it "because it was so bad."
I'm guessing that's not true?

Not true.
John Reynolds (Torgo) was the only actor to commit suicide, and apparently the film had nothing to do with it. He seems to have had a lot of personal problems before the film ever was made.

Thanks!
He was with me too for quite awhile.
I know he would appreciate all the "fan" sentiments.
When all this started up again and I got him the tape, DVD, and MST3K versions he just chuckled and shook his head.

I've gotta ask...Did he every actually watch the MST3K version?

Oh, yes.  When both the original and MST3K came out on DVD I got several copies of both and made Christmas presents out of them to my parents, brother, and sister. Wooping good times had by all.

What an honor...  You up for anything, right now, my friend?  (Being an actor and all...)

For the really curious, one can always look at IMDB -- they keep most things fairly up to date and accurate:
www.imdb.com/name/nm0421110

Let me put it this way...I got to act with Brad Pitt once, but I ain't Brad Pitt.  ;-)

Bob

I see you played Adolph Hitler once.   How on EARTH do you prepare for that role....... I pray that you are not a method actor.

Hey! You were in Scrubs! Tell me, is Sarah Chalke as hot in person as she is on screen? :)

Hazzah

Very cool! Glad to know a real-life MST Celebrity is roaming around these forums!

Nice to meet you.
Hi-Keeba!

Actually, didn't he spell his name "Adolf"? So much for accuracy...
But hey, he was "Hitler in Hell" so maybe the heat got to him a bit.

That was a little weird, yes. My wife came home after my agent called to say I got the part (and no, I did not audition in costume). I told her I booked a part, and said, "Who do I hate more than anyone else in history?" Without a pause she replied, "Hitler!"
Now at the time this was getting kinda weird, because I auditioned for about 3 different Hitlers, I think, in about as many months. Penn Gillette was trying to put together a show (which never happened if I recall) and there was a sequence with him playing poker with 3 historical characters, one of whom was Hitler. There was also an audition for TimeCop 2 which had Hitler. Talk about developing a complex...everyone in Hollywood all at once thought I looked like Hitler.
Which reminds me of.....

We HEIL! (phhht!) HEIL! (phhht!) Right in der Fuehrer's face.
Not to love Der Fuehrer is a great disgrace,
So we HEIL! (phhht!) HEIL! (phhht!) Right in der Fuehrer's face.

We HEIL! (phhht!) HEIL! (phhht!) Right in Herr Göring's face.

Bob Hope used to do a sound in the back of his throat, usually when expressing delight over a woman. Kind of  a "rrrrrrrooooowww" noise.
I think Bob might have made that noise in this case.

And silly me...her character's latest squeeze, played by actor Travis Schudt -- he went to the same University I did, but do I even think to remember and mention that any of the time I'm on set with him? Nooooooo.....

Hmmmm, I just assumed his family went into the meat tenderizer business after the war and that explains my spelling.

So were you one of the singing Hitlers or one of the dancing Hitlers?
