I've not pirated any RTs. Hell, I've double-dipped on many of them to, say, get an "official" DVD of shorts or a release something as opposed to my burned D/L.

I think the Daleks look badass but I suppose it's different when you don't grow up watching them.

The Daleks?!?

(Still breaks me every time they repeat that, even the third time I've watched it.)

I've learned that hot gluing a baby monitor to a motorcycle helmet constitutes "highly advanced radio technology."

To me the Daleks don't look badass.  They look like the result of the "Enforcers" from "Space Mutiny" mating with a ribbed butt-plug.

Bob

Other than blowing smoke and falling down slight ramps, not sure what their super power is....

McGrignr

They have the power to make people sing novelty Christmas songs about them.

But fun fact: that smoke they blow was actually the film production team's second idea. See, originally the Daleks fired a sort of death beam/paralyze-Ian's-legs beam, but the effect they used on the TV show wasn't going to work for film, and they couldn't afford a proper laser effect. So what did they plan to arm the movie's Daleks with? Actual working flamethrowers. This was vetoed on the reasoning that it would frighten children. Also because firing flamethrowers at actors causes pain. So they ended up with gas guns that make things die or explode somehow.

I learned, again, that every Dalek's name is "Carl."

Nobody

More of an observation than a lesson learned, but...

Our British heroes fight a group of enemies whose henchmen wear faux leather uniforms and who have a plan to dominate the world involving a magnetic weapon, and it all plays out to an over the top, brass heavy music score.

Dear God, they crossed "Doctor Who" with "Operation Double 007"!

I learned Bill can't tell the difference between "Clear, eh?" and "Clearly"

I leaned that the line "sniping at homos" will make me do a spit take and spray juice all over myself.

I learned Arthur Jackson references are awesome.

I also learned if I'd seen this movie as a kid I probably would have loved it.

I thought he said hobo's but I could be wrong

I wasn't sure which he said when I first heard it, but I assumed hobos afterward.

I learned that MKB don't know the proper British pronunciation of "dalek". It has one of those phantom "r"s, as in "darlek".

I learned that Dr. Who's brilliant strategy consisted of:

Ummm, Aren't the characters in the movie pronouncing it the same way the guys are? (Without the phantom 'r'.)

It's subtle, but I'm pretty sure I heard it. (I'll have to watch again to be sure...)

Daleks look like salt shakers. Surely, the Dr. Who fandom has marketed these?
