Tony Farms AKA Puma Man

It would have made more sense if the ringer was trained by Kreese.

I mean, who cares if some dude that has nothing to do with the Kobra Kai beats up Daniel?  How does that get Kreese his respect back if he had nothing to do with him at all?

This only accounts for Kreese's desire for revenge, however.  Silver's willingness to not just participate, but to put his entire life on hold, to facilitate the reveng plot can really only be explained by a deep personal devotion to Kreese for saving his life, apparently multiple times.  This seems like a very noble quality to be possesed by a character that otherwise shows no greater depth of character than a cartoon bad guy, but, there it is.

I know you're just being philosophical, but this reminds me I recently went to the Karate Kid 3 board on IMDB and there are lots of Terry Silver fans/apologists! It's like he's The Dude of the Reagan era. Didn't know this movie had such a cult following.

I always thought he was a shallow, two dimensional character whose motivations made no sense.  I'd say Rambo had a better chance of being called The Dude of the Reagan Era, but that's just my opinion.

...which is why he fits right in with the Reagan era. He's very un-Dude.

But what I mostly meant is that there's a cult following out there who know Terry Silver's lines by heart.

Seriously, look at all the threads devoted to Terry Silver: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097647/board
