Starship Troopers: Crap Satire or Just a Crap Movie?

There's another movie were the quality and whether it has a message is debated (I like it, though not as much as some.  I prefer Dawn a lot more.  It is not as immediate.)

It's a favorite of mine because it was filmed just a few miles from where I spent my childhood. Also used to go the mall in Dawn.
