I learned that there is in fact a situation that calls for me to have a bulletproof casket.  Need to keep that in my mind for when I pre-plan my funeral.  Wouldn't want to die and then get shot.

Well, crap. I'm gonna be cremated; I strongly suspect a bulletproof urn will not be of too terribly much use to my next of kin.

Maybe you should consider it.  Wouldn't want your fam to have to get out the dust-buster.

We learned that robots of the future will inexplicably roar

Also that they will conduct focus groups.

That robot roaring technology will be significantly improved over the next 30 years.

That an unfeeling assassin robot will bitch and moan after it's bottom half is crushed under a helicopter.  Seriously, it got pretty cranky for a machine...

Pak-Man

That getting into any military bunker or base is a piece of cake. :^)

Sharktopus

That helicopters are statistically the safest form of travel.

I learn that robots are made very impratically concerning the small details. Some have a ridiculous roar, others are only understood when speaking every third word.

For anybody who has the second disc with bonus features, be sure to watch the "Sgt. Candy" deleted scene.

A coffin buried years ago can contain weapons that weren't invented until years later.  XM-8, I'm looking at you.

In defense of the premise of the movie.  Maybe the gun was sent back thru time.   lol

Goshzilla

I learned the hot terminators are a special model, namely sT-D.

Perhaps it was a prototype! I'm sure that could be used as a retcon, considering they found things like the pieces of T-800 prototypes at Skynet in Terminator 2. I recall a disturbing amount bout this series, and it does shame me. But, there it is as a potential 'official' reasoning.

Finally, the mystery of the Austrian accent is solved! Thanks, youtube!

I learned that, if I had the money, I would hire Kevin Murphy full-time JUST to make up new words for me.
