We want to riff Twilight live - but we need your help!

I had a feeling they wouldn't get Twilight, but that's okay. Starship Troopers is PERFECT riffing material. Plus: boobs.

Starship Troopers is a great choice, as I've already watched it religiously and know most of the ridiculous lines front to back. I equate it with Point Break in the "dialogue-so-bad,-it's-good" department.

However...

It seems like the guys really wanted a second crack to make more Twilight jokes. So what kind of chance is there for them to just do another .mp3-only riff release? That way, they can let off some steam and publicize all of the jokes they wanted to write for this summer. I have zero qualms about paying for another audio track and watching Twilight again, with a new commentary.

Thoughts?

Part of the reason I am more excited about this than a live Twilight riff is because there IS no riff for it yet! There's already a Twilight riff. Several (counting sequels and iRiffs.... There may be a Troopers iriff, I dunno. but still....) so this is quite exciting!

Also, different (better?) demographic of people will be drawn to see this in the theater. Fewer tweens who don't realize it's a humour thing coming in and crying because someone is mocking their beloved treasure, although that WOULD be fun to see.

Anywho, very VERY happy at this.  I officially request a special appearance by NPH.

There's already PLENTY of Twilight stuff. Five movies worth, so I don't think they haven't had a chance to make more Twilight jokes. And Twilight jokes have made it into almost every riff since BD2. It's not bad, in fact it's awesome. But I don't think there's very many places they want to go with Twilight that they haven't. Just a thought.

Starship Troopers is a good selection, would have loved to see them get "The Room", though.

Well I'd assume that they have enough new material for an entire new riff, or they wouldn't have been pushing so hard to do all new jokes in a live setting... I can only guess that it would be a fresh take on the same material, so I'd think they do feel that there's new places to take the material to.

It doesn't say anything about Fathom. Will this be simulcast just like the other live shows, or do they have to work out a deal for that?

Seconded. Booking NPH is something you guys have total control over, right?

TheUnabeefer

Well, they've already had him as a guest riffer... I don't think it would be too much more of a stretch.

Oh, I'm sure he'd love to do it if he's available that weekend. But his guest spot was years ago, and he IS quite busy being a Very Famous Person, so flying him out for a specific live event is probably harder than scheduling a riff recording at his leisure.

But I want it to happen just as much as you do.

...there's just those pesky 'schedule' things that celebrities have.

Quotes aren't working for me. But me too, ManUnderMask.

And if the VOD distribution thing doesn't work out, I'd love a studio MP3 for Starship Troopers in its stead.

EDIT: its not it's

Rainbow Dash

Would have rather they get Mario, but this will do.

Now I'm just happy I'm not the only one having problems with the quotes.  What browser you using ActionBatch?
