Lotta weird games today for sure.
The Eagles win 2 games with a total of 9 turnovers combined ???

Bob

Fake refs missed another rams touchdown.   About tenth terrible mistake they have made with shit reffing in one quarter.

Fuck the nfl.   My season tickets since 1995 are finished.

This sounds vaguely familiar for some reason.. :o

Bob

Let's see, $400 for airfare, 100 for rental car, 50 for airport parking, 80 for kennel.........yeah, not worth it.

I hope the multi-billion dollar worth owners enjoy the pennies they are saving by bringing in poor officials to mess up games for we fans.

The league said SORRY for the refs blowing the last two minutes of the rams game and costing them the victory last week.

As long as the billionaires are happy.

It's not about the money, it's about the NFL having the right to replace Refs during the season if they're total fuckups.  As things stand right now, unless a Ref violates his contract, he can't be replaced until the end of the season.  If he starts fucking up in Week 4 the worst thing that happens is he doesn't get to do the playoffs, but he does get to finish the season.

The NFL is holding out the right to keep a group of backup Refs on call so they can yank a fucking up Ref for the remainder of the season and replace him with a backup.  The Refs are balking at this because they want to be able to slack through their last season with no consequences.

In a nutshell, that's the real stumbling block.  So I'm actually on the NFL's side on this.  Better to go through one badly officiated season than keep things as stagnant as they currently are.

I dunno..

I'm glad the NFL pulled that line judge before the Saints - Panthers game..
Though not actually a ref but still he was pulled out of the lineup right away so I would think the same policy should be used on any ref showing favoritism or seriously blown calls.

Jus my opinion.

Bob

Refs have never been a problem before.  Now every game is a cartoon.   Why even have the season then?   Oh well, we are just ticket holders, who cares about the games we are paying full price for......

Why even have the season then?

Because if there was no football AND no hockey then people would probably start shooting people?

Bob

Well, the nfl is saying that they HAVE to save 20,000 per ref into their retirement funds and they refuse to not do it.   Let's see, that is 3 million a year they want to stop paying refs.   Yes, that is worth ruining the games for that figure.

The billionaires will be pleased.

HOW BOUT DEM PANTHERS LAST NIGHT?? :grr:

Glad I was working and not at the stadium ::)

ShadowDog

I think a couple of the Panthers' teeth landed in my back hard.

I haven't had time to even watch any post-game stuff but heard enough from others that we were down right embarrased! :-[

ShadowDog

What the Giants did to them is illegal in 49 states.
