Well not impossible, but I'll say not accomplished to this date.

Normally, I'd agree. But the CGI in this case was actually used to do what CGI was meant to do: It showed us something in motion that could not possibly be accomplished with hand drawn animation or puppeteering. You actually get to see Ninja Turtles do Ninja-ing, and it's never been effectively done 'til now. :^)

This, by far has to be the closest to Eastman and Larids' original vision, darker, grittier, with only the brightly color-coded masks as any throwback to the 80's cartoons....

  and for those of you wondering, yes, the videogame has the look and feel of the movie....

Ninja they can do, but can the cgi characters still dance as effectively to Vanilla Ice? 

Is the video game worth getting?  I loved the original but I'm a dork.
