Torgo's Pizza boxes have been sighted in the loby here...

Starman!

I wish I was going but unfortunatly, the nearby shows are sold out. This is what happens when you wait. ::)

Space version 2.0

Surprised there wasn't a "Be right there" callback. Torgo sure presents plenty of opportunities

I think for the first time ever, that I can remember anyway, they added a second screen for Rifftrax Live tonight here at the theater that I caught it at.

Big crowd out tonight for this.  I loved it!

The shorts were great too!

Was the guy they showed at the very end the original Master? If no, it's pretty cool that they found him and rounded him up for that.

Also, the woman with the jacked-up face in the hospital bed in the Manos 2 preview wasn't Margo Prey, was it? It sure looked like her.

Big, enthusiastic crowd at Garden State Plaza in NJ tonight, BTW.

Got back from seeing it in Muskegon, MI about an hour ago.

Muskegon's not a HUGE town, so it was in no danger of selling out, but there were a lot more people there than when I went to the Christmas one . . . geez, almost three years ago now. But that's good, I'm glad to see it grow in popularity.

I had a great time, I loved the shorts, and I thought in the movie they really NAILED knowing when to make a smart-assed remark, and when to be quiet for a beat and just let the movie's crappiness speak for itself. I was really able to more fully appreciate Manos in all its (for want of a better term) . . . glory. . . this time around.

I get the feeling that's the result of an extra twenty years of experience right there. Hard to believe it was that long ago, isn't it? You know, especially since I only first saw any of the Comedy Central MST3Ks about EIGHT years ago. . .
I used to have an image here, but Photobucket got cheap about remote linking. I guess I'll have to think of something witty instead. Which I will. Later. It caught me by surprise, in all honesty. It's hard to be clever on command, I mean, YOU try it. Be funny: NOW! See, tough. So, gimme a bit, 'kay?

Janelle and I both noticed a LOT more spots in the movie itself where people just stood staring than either of us recall from the MST3k episode.  Does anyone know if the MST folks trimmed it down themselves, or if they just used a different copy that was pre-trimmed??  Because this print of the film had near-Birdemic levels of hesitation.

Okay done with that....
Fantastic show!!! The laughs were many and perfect.  I think the riffers weren't expecting quite as big a reaction to Mike's "Are they?" line in the cylinders short. (i think it was that short...) but that seemed to get one of the biggest laughs both on screen and in the theater here in Chicago.  The new set of riffs for Manos definitely stand up on their own... which I hope (between this, Juvenile Delinquency, and the CT Santa...Martians) will open the doors for more re-riffs!!! (at least for live shows!)
...and there he was, reigning supreme at number two.  The One... The Only... The Unabeefer.

Did anyone else find the pre-show jokes that appeared on screen to be an excellent way to tell the fast readers from the slow ones?

Every time a new slide popped up, there was this first round of laughs almost immediately, and then a second later, this second wave as the rest of the people finished.

Loved it... I couldn't BELIEVE how many damn people were at my theater! It was literally a full house! That kind of attendance for a Rifftrax event in the Albuquerque area is unprecedented!

Birmingham, AL finally got more than 1 theater to host the show. Our closest theater was packed! Given, they put it in possibly the smallest auditorium, but *every* stadium seat was filled. Big laughs throughout the whole show. Mike's "Are they?" joke killed our room too! Just about every joke about Torgo was spot-on too.

Heretical as it may seem, I would rather watch this again than the MST3k version... which is still one of my favorites. The Norman short was fantastic. And now me and my girlfriend wanna make cardboard wiener-head horses.

Kookiest thing of all. Me and two other random guys wore this same shirt.

Excellent job, guys!
(Appropriately spotted torgospizza in the "Manos 2" trailer too). ;)

had a ball here in pleasanton, CA.  nice crowd though no worries of selling out.  my girlfriend loved it and said it was way better than reefer madness live.  she must be coming around.

a bit disapointed we didnt get one of the shorts free like usual i was looking forward to coming home and seeing norman or cylinders again.  still great show looking forward to birdemic!

Nowhere near a full house at my local theater, but since it's a small suburb of Dallas and I'd been to another Rifftrax Live show there, I knew it wouldn't be. What I was surprised by was that most of the other people in the theater were fairly young (teenagers and college age). It's good to see the younguns getting into the riffing spirit.

It definitely seemed that there were a lot more scenes of people just randomly staring into the camera than I remember from the MST3K cut. The first "Line!" riff got a big laugh in my theater.

I was also able to get my wife to watch Birdemic with me when we got home because of the promo for the next live show. She says Manos is still a worse movie.

Yes it was. The  Manos II film makers noted a few months ago that they had contacted the actor and he'd agreed to appear in the film. He's about 90, BTW.
