Dark Shadows (2012)

This movie looks to be on a collision course with wackiness!

I loved the tv show.......and this movie looks terrible and has nothing similar to the show.

Dunno, it looks like it might be fun.  Only ever seen bits and pieces of the original TV show though, so this movie will be pretty much an original endeavor to me.

And as someone who has thoroughly enjoyed Tim Burton's other attempts at wacky Sci-Fi/Horror genre comedy (Beetlejuice and Mars Attacks), I am more than willing to give this one a shot.

I love Tim Burton's movies too, but I am old enough (48) to have seen the fun TV show and this just look like it is stealing the name to sell tickets.   But it will probably make a lot of money.....but none from me or the other old people.

Hell, I used to watch the TV show right after kindergarden!

Same feels as Bob about this. I used to watch it with my sisters after school and I don't see anything close to "Dark Shadows" about this except for the names.

I've watched the ENTIRE series of DS through, and most of it several times through... I thought the 90's remake was a bastardization, but this is a whole new level of "What did they do?!?!"

There is SOOOOO much good story and characters to work with when it comes to DS, allowing for a reeeeeeally good, intense, and intriguing film.  But apparently Burton didn't care about any of that and just wanted to take a heaping shit on the franchise all together.

I will only be seeing this film to better criticize what I despise about it.
