I learned that apparently we have an FTL propulsion system for our space-craft. (As the Icraus seems to have one in the original movie.)

Which they were apparently using to fly just to Mars, instead of to a distant star. Did the writers of this movie pay attention to the first movie? They certainly looked at the IMDB quote page for it.

I learned that humanity actually DIDN'T blow the earth up, so there was no need to damn them all to hell.

I learned the 113 is so good, the monkeys at the zoo got smart without even taking it...
(I wondered about this when I originally watched the movie)

...And they follow orders... have great aim... and there's the impervious to shards of glass thing I mentioned earlier.

And yes, there's apparently a hell of a lot more Orangutangs in San Fransisco than I would have expected...

(Also, War Horse has Bazookas.)

On the glass thing: It was safety glass, which doesn't really cut that badly.

I do wonder how the apes at the zoo were so "smart" compared to all of the ones at lock-up but I guess, I dunno, bunnies happened.

I learned that, when the hyper-intelligent chimp that you raised from infancy speaks to you, the appropriate response is, "go."  Not, "Holy shit, you can talk.  Let's get rich!  We can fucking BUY the redwoods!"

And also, don't tell said ape that lost his freedom defending your Alzheimer's suffering father that said father has died.  Not like he'd want to know or anything.

And finally, I learned that the phrase "I'm gonna slumdog your millionaire" is really hot.

X3 Beast

I learned that the Rifftrax Crew didn't take the lazy way out with tons of Poo Flinging jokes.

Especially since it's Monkeys who fling their crap, and not apes. So to the Rifftrax Gang...

I learned that late stage Alzheimer's gives you the ability to break into your neighbor's car, and start it. Without the keys.

Not to quibble, but the idiot had left his car running.  You can hear the engine as Lithgow approaches it.

Huh, I guess just didn't notice that.

Well, how about this: Being made more intelligent gives apes the physical capacity for speech. And I don't mean language. It's a known fact that they're capable of language. They just can't talk.
