Laziest Man on Mars

"Where's Papa?" With George Segal is a great dark comedy.
Oh Good, Shim was Joe Elic.

If you aren't familiar with Hamlet, then make sure to watch Kenneth Branagh's Hamlet immediately before.  It will make it sooo much funnier.

So great.

Swish

Just last night watched The Swimmer directed by Frank Perry and starring Burt Lancaster.

Very good film about a man who decides he wants to "swim home" through a series of swimming pools across his county. But the reasons for his adventurous deviation are shrouded in mystery, and everyone he meets along the way gives the audience clues which decrese in subtlety as it goes on.

Pauly Shore Is Dead is the best Pauly Shore movie ever. It's way too funny.
Global warming, where?

Tetsuo: The Iron Man.
Eraserhead gone japanese/anime style. Quite disturbing. Didn't care much for its sequel.

I enjoyed the sequel a little better.  It actually had a story.

I believe this was originally a short story by John Cheever.

I found a movie while paroozing netflix and imdb.

Electric Dragon 80000V

It's on my netflix queue.  Seems like it's pretty amusing.

Tetsuo...The Iron Man....Ye GODS! I saw this in a theater.

Transcript of the greatest scene in horrible cinema:

"Moshi-Moshi..."

"Moshi-Moshi.."

"Moshi-Moshi..."

"Moshi-Moshi..."

"Moshi-Moshi.."

Yes, that's correct. A man and another man saying 'Hello...' to one another for about three full minutes. Good Lord. And at the end, the man is consumed by metal and becomes a fused together drill-bit membered Statue of Liberty? BUH-LINK. Can't say as I liked this one.

Though for a good cult flick, "The Fury" is a pretty good 'telekinetics gone crazy' kind of film. 'The Last Dragon' was a neat flick when I was little.

"Gymkata" has no virtues whatever, but it is available on DVD. And if you're an old MSTie like myself, the references to that horrible film might make you a little curious to check it out.

Favorite cult film of all time, though, has to be: Cemetary Man...a great little flick that got no love. Saw it only on VHS.

Great movie.  It was recently re-released on DVD, by the way.  I highly recommend it for zombie buffs.

I saw it in the theater completely by accident . In the multiplex to see of all things " The Arrival" (which i still haven't seen) we passed by a screen that still had the doors open. There was a trailer playing for Cemetary Man and in the trailer the drop Sam Raimi's name. We heard Sam Raimi and stuck our head in the door and watched the trailer. It looked awesome and it was playing at the same time as our original movie was. I am so glad I saw it!

Raven

Didn't read every post in the thread and came up with a few more.

Duel- Spielbergs first I believe.  Almost no dialogue.
American Movie- Documentary on independant filmmakers that may be the biggest idiots living.
Last Castle-  Gandolfini and Redford that kinda got buried by 9-11.   Something about the adds being pulled for an american flag being flown upside down.
Death to Smoochy-  Honestly one of my favorite comedies.   Was in the theaters for about a week and a half.
Domino- Hilarious. Semi-true story that was really well put together.

Mr.Nobody

Crank - Pretty recent but I never even heard of it until it hit dvd.  Great action flick.
Existenz - Cronenberg
From Beyond - From the people who brought you Re-Amimator
Narc
The Limey
I've sort of fused Flashdance with MC Hammer shit.

BathTub

Hmm I definitely think I need to see existenz again.
