Are you using a rental copy or a retail copy?

After using DVD Fab 8.1.38 to copy an image from a Blockbuster Express copy, and the steps in the reauthoring guide, it comes out with out of sync audio and a letterboxed picture in 4:3 from video from rejig, video from DVD Decrypter crashes in ifoedit . Are you using a rental copy or the full retail version?
I used a rental initially, then bought the video after the fact.  I found it cheaper online, but didn't want to wait.  Here were my steps:

- DVD Fab (main movie option) - I couldn't find an option to make the output a DVD image, so I used...
- DVD Shrink to make a DVD image
- Mounted Image to a virtual drive
- DVD Decryptor to demux files
- (I can't recall if audio was out of sync (it says so in file name).  If it was, I used Delaycut to re-sync.)
- Audacity with AC3 addon to edit audio files
- Muxman to re-mux the files.
- DVD Shrink to create a final DVD image for burning, or mounting and playing from a virtual drive.
- (Optional) Handbrake to make an video that can be played on Iphone or Ipad.  (That's just something I do.)

DVDFab worked great for me. I selected just the video and 6-channel audio to output to a DVD5 (4.3GB) file, then burned to a DVD and used DVD Decrypter to extract the separate video and audio files. Everything was great from there.

You should save yourself the DVD and just mount the image to a virtual drive.  http://www.slysoft.com/en/virtual-clonedrive.html  That is, unless you wanted an unriffed version of Transformers 3.  :)

I used a rental copy from NetFlix.  Often times, with newer releases, It is out of sync by .5 to 1 sec.  In that case I just go back into Audacity and insert, or delete the time required.  The video has always copied exactly.  Never got a letterboxed 4:3 ???.  Have you tried assembling the DVD with IFOedit?  Just a thought if Rejig isn't working for you.  I understand that at this point, you probably want to chuck the whole mess.  It can be frustrating at times.  As with many problems in life, walk away for a while.  When you come back for another go around, the solution may be right in front of you.  Can't tell you how many times this happens with me when I'm battling silicon based life forms (my profession don't you know).  If however you are at all ACD, like me, you will probably power drive this problem into the core of the earth until you're battered, and bloodied.  Well, cheers :P

Anyway to get subtitles on IFOedit?

No, unfortunately.  However there are sites where you can download subs such as:
