So do we have a plan for LoC 84? Are we doing our annual Top Requested Riffs list? Who's doing what now?

Johnny Unusual

Well, I haven't heard anything from Compound in forever.  I'd be willing to host.  I've been busy as Hell lately, but things are evening out for me.

ColeStratton

Um....is LOC dead? Or like the Dread Pirate Roberts, is it just MOSTLY dead?

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize that you were waiting on me. Yeah, I'd be happy to do it.

I looked but didn't see one, but considering it's SNLs 40th anniversary and all the hype on that, and that Rolling Stone compiled their own controversial list, we should do a Top 50 Not Ready For Prime Time Players, like, right now. Skip over the usual Rifftrax movie thing for now - and to heck with putting it to a vote, just be "mavericks" and do it now, immediately!

Now.

Right this very second!

I'm Gumby damnit!

And if we already did do that and I just didn't see it well, then.... "Never mind."

Edit, several days later...

Well, I tried to rally the troops, but it seems we have no troops to rally.  ;)

I'd be SUPER into that! Though I'm a little personally biased since Laraine is a dear, dear friend of mine now!

So, Compound, are you available for your annual list or should I do one in the meantime?

She'd make my list for sure. I just watched the Richard Pryor ep, she was in that hilarious Exorcist II skit. And it was so cool to see her in the 40th anniversary special.

- how I read any complaint about MST3k (or Star Wars or Ghostbusters)

Johnny Unusual

All sound good, but I'd mix podcasts with radio shows (or reduce the number or casts from top 50 to top 30).

Plus a lot of radio shows these days are downloadable as podcasts.

Have we ever done anything sports related? Or even had something put up for vote? Seems odd that we've covered everything else but not mined that subject. I'm not a huge sports guy, I watch a little NFL, play golf, and that's about it. But I could probably manage a general list of "greatest sports teams" or "greatest athletes"

Another idea, Fictional bands/singers?

Johnny Unusual

I'm not a sports guy, but I keep recommending sports.  If it was athletes, I can't say a lot, but if it's sports in general, I have more to say.  I don't play many sports or watch sports, but I love good sports movies and manga (pretty much every sport has a manga, though for some reason, there's not a lot for ice hockey) and appreciate the sports in general.  Top 50 Sports could be a great list.

I'm all over fictional musicians.

The topic was just put forth on MST3K's Facebook page, and I realized someone should totally host Top 50 MST3K Host Segments.
