This was my first time going to a Rifftrax Live event, we had a pretty decent crowd here in St. Louis (Edwardsville, actually).  I brought the whole family along.  My son and I have been MST3K fans since the Comedy Central days, but my wife and my daughter never really go into movie riffing.  They both enjoyed it so much, they are ready to go back for more.

We all agreed that one of our favorite parts was the entire scene with the "Dragon Men", there was some great riffing going on there but the movie itself got very silly at that point.  I was absolutely rolling when Jack supposedly gets his shield knocked out of his hand by one of the dragon men, but is obviously throwing throwing the shield over the wall.  And the bit afterwards when the whip turns back into a skeleton.  The riff they did for the skeleton's line as he points to the door got me pretty good as well.

We also enjoyed the What is Nothing short, and the Lowtax shorts, which were very well received at our theater.  Very good job guys!

The answer to "What is Nothing?" is "All that was wrong with last night's show."

I hadn't laughed so hard in a movie theater since I saw "Jaws 3D" as a kid.

Thanks for the great time, guys. We eagerly await the next live show.

I'm pretty disappointed a "Captain America" riff wasn't made when Jack had the shield, I could see one coming and it never came.

Popular Culture fail, guys.

Great to see a new target for a live show.  The crowd seems to get a little larger each time in Davenport.

I did a little imdb research on the cast and found Judi Meredith (the Princess) in another riffable movie, Queen of Blood, that I've seen a couple times on Netflix.  She plays the hot blond crew-member, not the alien blood-sucker.

This inspires me to try and put the Irish inside of bottles to make that true also.

Insert "drunk Irish being inside a bottle normally" joke.....

I thought it was hilarious -- it was my first Live event and I'll be seeing all of them in the future if they're as close as this one was (about an hour away).

I have to say, I know they definitely don't want to fill the movie with MST references, but I couldn't believe I didn't catch a shoutout to the episode The Undead, since the main character in that movie was also named Pendragon.  I at least expected a STAYYYY!!! at one point.  But hilarious nonetheless!

I also expected an Undead reference or something about undead beekeepers, since some of the music was used in The Screaming Skull.

Well, there's more than a few times they reference MST3K so I don't think they completely ignore it.  I know they've touched on MST3K-like riffs and they've even done the "Look familiar Mike?" one.

Awesome time in Mountain View, CA.

The princess is HOT man.  I can't decide which is hotter though, the good princess or the evil princess.  IMDB says she dated Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darin...lucky!!!!

funniest joke besides STB.....when the king says "my darling!!" and the camera pans over to Jack's face...LOL
