I'd rather the possibility of what I mentioned earlier. Could there be a sort of "blank" item I could put in my cart that would be worth one or two cents. That way it would bring the order over the one dollar restriction. And it would help other people possibily stuck in the same situation.

I apologize for pushing Paypal again.  I didn't realize you felt so strongly about it.

The blank item idea sounds decent, but doesn't that effectively raise the price for people with shitty banks like yours?  Yeah I guess a penny isn't a big deal.  Where would this be displayed for tossing it into your cart?  As a separate catalog entry?  As a link in the "Checkout" box?

I agree they ought to work on a permanent solution, since I imagine this is costing them potential sales on shorts.  Right now your best options are either waiting and buying shorts 2 or more at a time, or just getting a gift certificate and applying a gift balance to your account.  That's what I do, because it's just more convenient than going through Paypal or using my credit card every time.

I know that the discussion of RiffTrax having a subscription type system has come up a few times. With more and more credit card hacks and data theft happening other credit card companies may start flagging smallish micro transactions. A subscription service would help with that issue.

Exactly. Especially since I guess they only started instituting this with the new cards. I had no problem with my old card, before it expired. You're right. This may just be the new way to go for banks trying to protect customers from fraud or theft. Of course, I do question how a restriction on less than a dollar transaction is going to do that, but I'm not a bank so I can't even begin to understand their reasoning on this.

Maybe a section added to the "frequently asked questions" page. Like, "I am limited to $1 transactions what do I do?", and then maybe there would be a link to a "blank" item you could put in your cart that would be like 1 or 2 cents and could be called something like "penny filler". I'm not sure.

when will another short be released? I wanna get borrowed power.

it's not an easy fix to get a gift card either.

i got a ten dollar one earlier. got a few shorts and a movie with it. there was a few bucks left on it, wanted a movie but didn't have enough on the gift card. so tried using the gift card and credit card. nope. not enough to work with the credit card. so tried just the credit card. nope. no matter what option you choose, it will always take out from the gift card first. so tried to get another 5 dollar gift card. wouldn't work. turns out even if you buy a gift card it will take the money out of the remaining gift card you have to pay for the new one. so instead of being able to buy a simple five buck gift card, i had to shell out for ten to even complete the purchase. i know you people say a gift card is the easy alternative. no it's not. not when it works like this. i'm not rich enough to be able to buy gift cards in bulk of fifty bucks a time to avoid this. can you just make the shorts an even dollar. a penny is not gonna kill anyone. and you're pissing off a person who want to be a paying customer! but can't because of all this crap. sorry for sounding like a bitch. but these are more than just one issue with the checkout process and no one seems to want to fix this. the only alternatives, paypal, which sucks and steals your money and information (seriously, google paypal and scam/fraud), buy a huge amount in gift cards (can't, broke), get a new bank and new card (can't, not possible). and i'm not a new member, etiher. have had my account since 2007.
