I second David Hayter as Snake.  I mean, come on.  He did the original voice, and he looks like Snake as well.  Just don't let him write the script (see X-Men for explanation).

But as with pretty much any video game based movie (going all the way back to that Mario movie with Bob Hoskins as Mario and Dennis Hopper as KING KOOPA(?!)), I'm not expecting this to be any good.  The games are great on their own.  But who knows?  Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised for once.

But with CGI, they can put his head on a athletic body that can jump 10 stories if they wanted.  Hell, they could even get Charlton Heston to play Snake, and I'd PAY MONEY to see that.

All I have to say is they better not F this up. I know many geeks have said that about movies that Hollywood decided to adapt from video games/comics but this is seriously one of those video games series that I actually care what the movie turns out to be like.

As for casting....well I think we can start posting our dream choices.

I put my vote in for
Kiefer Sutherland as Solid Snake and his dad Donald Sutherland as Big Boss.

There's an interview with Kojima a while back that said if there ever was going to be a movie made, there's no way he'd allow Bol to be involved.
