So what's up with that frappr website?? I tried from my two computers at home but I couldn't get on. So I went to the library to try it out on their computer. I believe I saw smoke coming from the back of the computer  and still couldn't get on! I was curious to see if there were any pushpins southwest of Atlanta.

Any suggestions?

Yeah, its NOT gonna happen-

Just imagine a pushpin right on the border of Georgia and Alabama (on the Goergia side) just a little south of Atlanta.

Now someone send me a message and let me know if there are other dots in the same area. It would be nice to know if there are other kindred spirits near me because I dont have a whole lot in common with many folks in this quaint, conservative southern area (I'm a transplant from So California).

So what's up with that frappr website??

Frappr is no more:

It was bought out by an outfit named Platial in 2007 and Feb. 27, 2010 they announced it would be shut down "in a few days" (all per Wikipedia). I guess the few days are up. That's a pity; it was a cool little utility.

ETA: Went up on Platial's webpage; they seem to be mainly into gathering geographical data for businesses to exploit. According to their blog, they were oh-so-sorry to let Frappr go, but gosh, life as a start-up is *so* busy and they couldn't keep up with it.

We should probably find another guest map site if we want to keep this topic going.
