QuoteBloody Disgusting has received exclusive confirmation from producer Oren Peli (also director of the first film) that Paramount Pictures has locked down an October 21, 2011 release date for Paranormal Activity 3. No other details are available at this time. The Tod Williams-directed prequel/sequel Paranormal Activity 2 has grossed $156m worldwide. Peli's groundbreaking 2009 film has topped $193m. What can we expect from the third film? Take your guess below and talk about your thoughts on this horror "trilogy".

I'm just going to buckle down now for the eventual Paranormal Activity 4, 5, 6, 3D, European Vacation, In Space, Goes to White Castle, and Meets Abbot and Costello, followed by a gritty reboot in which the paranormal activity is a vengeful vigilante who is tracking down the man who betrayed him and left him for dead.

Okay, so we had Paraboring Inactivity, Paraboring Inactivity 2: Even Less Happens... what the hell can we call Paraboring Inactivity 3?
I survived the San Diego Comic Con 2010 Hall H stabbing.

As apparently the only fan of these movies (since I'll be honest, they truly do scare the cuss out of me), I'm not really sure how they can pull it off. The sequel actually worked well in tying in with the original; built up a nice mythology, gave a good reason for the cameras (more or less), and had a pretty solid ending. Of course there's no real need to go any further than they have, but since these movies cost practically nothing to make, it's not surprising they're going to pull them out for as long as they can.

TTYT

Does it take place on the Empire State Building this time?

You don't have to feel like you're the only one - I enjoyed the first one, too (and haven't seen the second one yet).

I just also happen to find it really fun to crack jokes about, and found "The Drying of the Paint" too good to pass up.  ;D

I would not be surprised if everything above comes to pass.   Perhaps even a "In da Hood" movie as well.

Probably some kind of movie where negative stuff happens.  The production of this movie will remove other movies from existence.

I'll go see it, but only if they bring back the best character from the second: Pool cleaning robot.*

*I haven't seen the second yet but two independent parties both said that was the best character.

Is the robot a detective that fights ghosts?

Does he have a baby hedgehog sidekick?

Does the robot have to save his love interest, an iPod, from the Paranormal Activity who is holding her hostage?

Then yes, he can come back in Paranormal Activity 3.
