I realized that this is Grease without the (mildly entertaining) subplots....

Boy and girl meet on vacation.  Think they'll never see each other again.  Bizarre coincidence causes her to end up at his high school.  They are almost kept apart by having to keep up appearances for others.....

I learned that high schools have gardens on the roof.

I learned that this movie strikes so much fear in my house that it took over a year to watch. And wowza...it was bad.

I learned that if you want to pop lock you mustn't...you need to stick to the status quo.

I learned that everyone was in the cafeteria were agreeing that the 2 main characters shouldn't sing in the musical WHILE they were singing about it. Hmmm, makes sense.
