What did we learn?

I learned that if there's a fire you should send your little one into the house (that's on fire by the way) to call, while you get a garden hose to fight the blaze yourself.

Wow, can't believe the guys didn't do a joke about that.

Houses are harder to replace.  (j/k)

Cops wear their helmets to drive a car

*look at the scene after Bobby calls for help and the dispatcher radios. The cop in the car is wearing a helmet!

Emergency response was a lot more casual and slow paced before 911.

Also, they were more likely to believe this was a serious emergency call if the second they picked up the line they heard a 5 year old's voice: "hii... my name is... uh... joyce *inaudible* and... I live at..."

Also learned if you call for help, not to request Batman..

I learned that I should tell the receiving end of the emergency call my name, address, phone number, and the emergency right away so to save time by not having to be asked for this information.... which is completely negated by the guy re-affirming my information by reading it back to me.  So, really, we could've done this either way.

I learned that you should run into a burning house to call for help.

I learned that a tame slide into third a tag-out to the nads can result in, apparently, a serious knee injury.  It may, or may not, also result in a juicy turd.

I learned that a woman falling asleep in the middle of the day and lying on her living room floor doped-out on her Valium is reason enough to call for help.

I learned that children who can barely speak coherently are the backbone to our emergency call operations.
