Glad Niko made it. Nice to see Ratchet and Clank make it although they were off my list.. Hope a certain friend of theirs makes it..

The Plumber?  Captain Quirk?  I'm gonna guess the Plumber. They were on my list somewhere in the middle or maybe even in the top ten.  Really it's Clank we mean here but they are a team.  And yes, I know Clank had his own game, they are still a team.

Captain Quark actually.. love the voice

Lizzie
1 List - ColeStratton - #19

List Of Games:
1. Rampage (1986)
2. Rampage - World Tour (1997)
3. Rampage 2 - Universal Tour (1999, Nintendo 64)
4. Rampage Through Time (2000, Sony PlayStation)
5. Rampage - Total Destruction (2006)

Lizzie was once a normal woman, but she took a dip in a radioactive lake and ended up a giant lizard-monster bent on destroying every city she came across. I've always loved the premise of the Rampage games. You're the monster, here's a city - Trash it. After sooo many games of trying to save cities like these, I always found it therapeutic to just level them all to the ground.

Trivia:
Lizzie is an homage to Godzilla! No, really!

Believe it or not, Rampage does end after something like 764 levels. Try to beat it the next time you're in an arcade with a day to kill and a couple hundred dollars in quarters!

And he's fairly interesting because sometimes he's good, sometimes he's bad, sometimes he's a coward, sometimes he's a little brave, and he's always entertaining.

He also does the voice for Chet Ubetcha on The Fairly Oddparents, which IIRC was a very similar voice.

He's on my list so maybe he will make it. I've also got Dr. Nefarious as well, though now that I think of it I probably should have chosen Lawrence over him (or would they count as a duo?)

Pak-Man

OK. I got carried away and posted 6 yesterday, so you get 4 today. I'll try to throw in an extra bonus or two to make up for it.

So here we go!

Just the facts/Stuff I wiki'd:

Yoshi both refers to a species of Dinosaurs that lives in the Super Mario universe, and serves as the name of one particular Yoshi who is especially associated with Mario. All Yoshis have an extending tongue, much like a frog's, that can latch on to potential food/foes and draw them into their mouth. After taking a foe into its mouth, the Yoshi can either swallow it to dispose of it or spit it back out to use it as a projectile. In Super Mario World, there were 4 different types of Yoshis, Green, Blue, Red, and Yellow. Green was the standard Yoshi color, and had no unique powers. Red was able to shoot fire from its mouth instead of spitting an enemy back out. Blue was able to fly as long as it had a turtle shell in its mouth. Yellow was able to hit the ground causing a small earthquake as long as it held a turtle shell in its mouth. In later games, it is revealed that Yoshis have the ability to lay eggs after consuming their enemies, and hurl them at opponents as a method of attack. In Super Mario Sunshine, some Yoshis are able to spew out a colorful liquid that can form platforms when it hits certain areas.

Trivia:

Yoshi's voice is provided by Kazumi Totaka, who is the composer and sound designer for many of the games Yoshi shows up in.

Mario creator,  Shigeru Miyamoto, had always wanted Mario to have a steed since the very first Super Mario Brothers game. When the chance finally arose with the dawn of the SNES, they found that designing him as a dinosaur reduced the number of sprites needed, so they made him one.

Pak's Thoughts -  It's hard not to love Yoshi. There aren't many powerups in Mario games that will save you as many times as a skillfully-used Yoshi. How many of us propelled our Mario to safety while letting Yoshi fall into the Abyss? And look at that list of games! The scary thing is that won't even be close to the longest list of games for a character on this list...

Pak-Man

#43 - Larry Laffer
(39 Points) 2 Lists - Highest Ranking - #1 - Rattrap007

So, waddaya say? A little game of drop the anchor? You and me? Stem to stern? Tug and tanker?

List of Games:

Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards (1987 - remade 1991)
Leisure Suit Larry Goes Looking for Love (in Several Wrong Places) or Leisure Suit Larry 2 (1988)
Leisure Suit Larry III: Passionate Patti in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals (1989)
Leisure Suit Larry 5: Passionate Patti Does a Little Undercover Work (1991)
Leisure Suit Larry 6: Shape Up or Slip Out! (1993 - CD version in 1994)
Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail! (1996)
Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude (2004) (Without involvement of Al Lowe)
Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust (2009) (Without involvement of Al Lowe)

Just the facts/Stuff I wiki'd:

According to his creator, Larry was a nerdy geek all his life and eventually became a computer programmer. He never had close relations with friends, women, or his colleagues, and every day of his life was identical. He lived with his mother and brother.

Around his 38th birthday, his brain hit a sexual alarm and started having his first kinky thoughts. He started reading adult magazines and could not concentrate on his work. Because of this his life was destroyed; he was fired from his job, and upon returning home he found his house had been sold and his mother had left for vacation.

He then decided to turn a page forward in his life; he left everything and decided to live the wild life. He moved to the city of Lost Wages, where, being a fan of the '70s, and assuming that '70s styles were still trendy, he bought a polyester leisure suit and gold chains. He sold his Volkswagen 'bug' to a junkyard for $94 and ended up in front of Lefty's Bar, where the first game, Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards, begins.

During the course of the series of games, Larry loses his virginity, is married twice (and dumped twice), becomes a hero of the tropical Nontoonyt island, and eventually meets his semi-other half, Passionate Patti (who, for some parts of the games, is controlled by the player). In his most recent games, Patti is absent and Larry roams alone again.

Trivia:

Larry is voiced by Jan Rabson, who has done a number of additional voices for Pixar games.

Pak's Thoughts -  I suspected there'd be a representative of the old Sierra adventure games on this list, but I never would have guessed it would be Larry. To this day, and for reasons I won't delve into here, it remains the only major Sierra adventure game series I haven't played through. Still, it's good to see a Sierra character make the list!

#42 - Duke Nukem
(39 Points) 3 Lists - Highest Ranking - #2 - psychogoatee

Guess again, freakshow. I'm coming back to town, and the last thing that's gonna go through your mind before you die... is my size- 13 boot!

List of Games:

Duke Nukem I
Duke Nukem II
Duke Nukem 3D
Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project
Duke Nukem: Time To Kill
Duke Nukem: Zero Hour
Duke Nukem: Land of the Babes
Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project
Duke Nukem Advance
Duke Nukem Forever (??)

Just the facts/Stuff I wiki'd:

Duke is a large, muscled man who appears to be in his mid-twenties or early thirties and with a blond flat-top and sunglasses. It is said that he was 29 years old in the 1996 Duke Nukem 3D, but this is rather unclear. He wears a red wifebeater, blue jeans, black boots and black fingerless leather gloves. He also wears a bandolier which, amongst other things, contains his Portable Medkit, access cards, Steroids, Pipebombs and the ammo for his Chaingun Cannon, as well as all the ammo for all his other weapons. His signature items are the Jetpack and his black sunglasses, along with his golden Desert Eagle handgun. Also, we must not forget his Mighty Foot or the Nuke logo - like the one on his belt buckle.

Duke didn't show much of his personality during the first two games, but it was shown that Duke was "a humble sort of guy" initially provoked into fighting Dr. Proton because he interrupted Duke's soap operas.

Duke Nukem 3D revealed Duke as a hyper-masculine, egotistical, machismo-filled womanizer. His goal was to kill the aliens that had kidnapped and enslaved Earth's women. Duke is not afraid to face any kind of alien that comes in his way. He is a confident, aggressive, and frequently politically incorrect muscle-man who, although not technically superhuman, nonetheless manages to achieve incredible physical feats of violence and conquest through sheer machismo and expertise with automatic weapons. Like the characters played by Bruce Campbell, Nukem is also a smart-mouth (although Duke's humor is somewhat less sarcastic and more straightforwardly aggressive; a few of Duke Nukem 3D's phrases are taken directly from the Campbell film Army of Darkness), and his sneering visage is often found speaking one-liners while slaughtering his enemies.

He is also apparently extremely sexually adept and irresistible to women, and circumstances generally find him surrounded by many buxom women (though certain signs in the games seem to indicate a girlfriend - current or ex - named Lani, a possible reference to sound engineer and voice actress Lani Minella). There is also an inside joke that circulated on the internet that compares Duke's looks to that of former NFL player Howie Long.

He is cool and he knows it. He is considered to be the ultimate alien asskicker, who loves big, automatic weapons and babes. Women are attracted to him like magnets. He is really macho. He also enjoys a cigar and occasionally is seen smoking one.

Duke Nukem's character is a pastiche of a number of Hollywood-action heroes, such as those played by Charles Bronson, Clint Eastwood, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Sylvester Stallone, as well as Kurt Russell's character from Big Trouble In Little China, Roddy Piper's character from They Live, and Ash Williams from the Evil Dead series. Sam "Serious" Stone, the main character of Serious Sam is a homage to Duke Nukem.

Trivia:

Bruce Campbell has stated in interviews that he feels Duke Nukem's lines are blatant ripoffs of, rather than homages to, the Evil Dead series, and are the signs of unoriginal hack-writing. Ouch.

Pak's Thoughts - Duke Nukem is great. You take all the most quotable lines from some of the most quotable action flicks throughout cinema history, then give them a Clint Eastwood edge to make 'em tougher, and then throw all that into the middle of an alien invasion, add some strippers, and you have possibly the most testosterone-fueled character in the most testosterone-fueled game ever made.

And even more variations on the same games!

Just the facts/Stuff I wiki'd:

Chun-Li is a character in the Street Fighter series. Introduced in Street Fighter II, Chun-Li was the only female character in the game, (as well as one of the youngest fighters to appear in Street Fighter II) and while not as physically powerful as the other characters, she was by far the quickest. Her most famous attack is the Hyakuretsukyaku (Hundred Rending Leg, commonly known as the Lightning Kick), where she repeatedly kicks her opponent from a tilted standing position with incredible speed.

Chun-Li wears the qipao, a Chinese dress imported over from Manchuria, yet popular among girls during the early 20th century. Her outfit is modified to allow a far wider range of movement than a normal qipao. She also wears white combat boots and blue leotard with dark brown sheer pantyhose with her qipao. Her qipao is blue with golden accents. She was originally supposed to wear a peach-colored qipao, as seen in her in-game profile and ending in the original Street Fighter II.

Chun-Li is generally a cheerful woman. She is often happy and excited when she wins a fight, mainly with her friends. As part of police Interpol she takes her job very seriously and will try her best to complete a mission. When it comes to fighting Chun-Li tends to get quite competitive with other female fighters, but after her fights with a few of them she becomes allies with them and possibly become friends. She also wants to become stronger due to experience in fighting M.Bison, Vega, Cammy, Juri, etc. She also has a strong admiration for Ryu and is currently eager to challenge him to improve her skills (and possibly impress him). Overall Chun-Li is cheerful, resourceful, dedicated and while in fighting, serious. And of course she does not take kindly to losing, especially to intense rivals like Vega and Juri.

Trivia:

Chun Li is the first female playable character to appear in a 1-on-1 fighting game.

Pak's Thoughts - Ahh the thrill of being able to pull off a lightning kick or inverted huricane kick on command. The Street Fighter games have all been generally balanced, and if a player is good, they know how to break through her various moves, but when they don't you can take most opponents out with ease. Good times.

E.T.
1 of 24 Lists - #12 - Tyrant (And a lot of worst-of lists!)

List Of Games:
E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial

He's an adorable alien from another planet, left behind by his parents, who forged a friendship with a young boy that would change both of their lives forever! He has a healing touch and a glowing finger -- Wait. This is the Video Game E.T. He's a green blob of pixels who wanders into holes (Usually with snakes in them) and can make his neck stretch in order to fly out of those holes.

Trivia:
The legend usually goes that this game, after development was shortened to 6 weeks,  was so bad that it didn't sell, and they were forced to bury all the unsold copies in the desert. This isn't quite true. The games sold like Hotcakes. They had E.T. on them. What happened was the game was so bad everyone thought it was broken and returned them. The cartridges weren't broken -- just nigh-unplayable -- but rather than refurbish the returned, probably functional copies, those were buried in a landfill in the Desert. (In Alamogordo, New Mexico. A favorite vacation spot of Tyrant and I!) They were also probably crushed first and covered in cement, so if you have dreams of digging up a crate of abandoned games, or have been told that your copy was probably one of those copies, you won't, and it isn't. There is a chance, however, (It being in New Mexico) that there was a snake somewhere in the hole they were buried in! Full circle!

FLOCK of RABID SHEEP?!?!

i cant remember if i had duke nukem on my list or not, i used to play duke nukem 3d back in the good ol days of dos/win 98 lol

mr.b.natural

Yay Larry!  He was number 12 on my list.

Was I suppose to make a "worst of list?"

Pak-Man

The Worst-Of list was optional and informal, and I'm ending up using a combination of underrepresented entries and worst-of entries for the bonuses.

mrbasehart

Chun-Li's thighs could crush a car.

I actually didn't think to put any fighting game character on my list, though I may have put Blanka or Dhalsim on there if I did.
