MrTorso, would you be so kind as to post the covers you did for the first few Rifftrax that came out, like Star Trek 5, the Fifth Element, etc?

I like the designs you have been coming up with and wanted to use them for my own collection.

Thanks in advance

I am re-doing those early ones. They aren't as good as the last three I have done. Rifftrax just keeps cranking out the new trax so I haven't had the time to finish them up. Keep checking this thread and www.mst3kdvdcovers.com. I hope to finish them up soon.

Also, I am glad you like them!

EDIT- The Crossroads cover is up at www.mst3kdvdcovers.com now.

Hey MrTorso.  I was watching my Cocktail-Rifftrax DVD last night, and the phone rang, so I paused it.  When I walked back into the room, I collapsed from laughter.  The paused screenshot was at the scene where Tom Cruise is finally getting the hang of things at TGIFridays, and I happened to pause it right when Tom was dancing with a cocktail shaker.  He had his hands above his head and was squirmed into an S-shape and had the most ridiculous look on his face.  I thought it would have made a perfect pic for the back-cover art.  I love that you use your own screencaps for the back cover, and I'm posting this to encourage you to put the strangest, goofiest screencaps on the back...even weirder than the ones you use now.

Anywho, keep on truckin'.

Yeah, it looks really good!
mrtorso's looks really professional to me.
I like to stick to my style just for consistancy, also I like the standard size cases. Plus I dont spend any time on making mine, whereas mrtorso is "dedicated" to making a good looking cover.   :)

No I meant you were trying to figure out how to put the special features thing on the back of yours....Torso gives a good guide of how to do it.

Glad to see that folks are making "Fan" covers for the movies.   Having these DVDs laying around the house in their original covers will give everyone the wrong impression.   ;D

I downed a few beers and was able to finish the cover.   Available at my yahoo briefcase if you want (link posted a few pages ago).

Dedicated.
Anal retentive.
No life.

That pretty much sums it up!  ;D

Wow!

That DVD disc art looks great.  Is there any possibility to get a full-size download of those to try out on my less fancy Epson R220?

Cheers,
Tom

btw, are you making disc art too?
I've been making some disc art, but its pretty basic...just the regular disc label with a rifftrax logo thrown in somewhere.

Yeah I have been making disc art too. I use printable discs and I have the Epson r340 printer. I like all my labels so far except for Fifth Element. I rushed through that one and I need to redo it all.

The neon on Cocktail is way better at fullsize than what shows up in the jpeg.

I haven't started yet on my xXx label.
