Meh, I'm less concerned with the money than the idea of having, at least something, special and exclusive. Money opportunities are plentiful if you're creative.

In fairness, you could just record it for the archives and never share the recording with us!

Sorry everyone, that wasn't recorded...much like the shuffleboard games we did, this was really just something fun to help test the new streaming equipment. (We were testing last time because we were thinking of buying, now we're testing because we bought)

I recorded it ;D

Shuffleboard? Guess I missed something.

What impresses me is that nearly 500 people (attendance topped out at 486 right at the end) watched a streaming video, in the middle of the day, of people cooking and eating bacon.  When it was announced maybe a few hours in advance.

And it was oddly compelling.  It was like I could smell the bacon frying as they cooked it.  Pork-induced synaesthesia FTW!

Now ... if this was a test, what future events were you testing it for, hmmmmmmmm?

Sausage Cam coming in ~20 minutes! Same link as for bacon cam.

It was a total non-event for me -- 20 minutes of nothing before I had to leave for something here at work.  Well, I did catch part of the "Three Magic Words" short, but nothing else.

I think I may have just realized why.  The subject here says "Friday, July 2, at 1pm EST".  I'm in the Eastern timezone, so I showed up at 1pm.  The thing is, that was 1pm Eastern Daylight Time, while the header says 1pm Eastern Standard Time.  So did I just show up at the wrong hour?

So this gives us an inside look into the daily routine at Rifftrax HQ.

Which is why I completely understand why iRiffs isn't 100% yet.

Well, I think it's also a good thing to not record EVERYTHING...if you can download any and everything later or get a DVD, where is the incentive to go to the stream/event? I'm just speculating on my own here, nothing Rifftrax related.

How about because some people live in different time zones? :P
FINE

This could be one of those "Man Eating Chicken" things they used to pull at carnivals.....open up the curtain and a guy is at a table eating fried chicken.
:D :D Thats the same carnival with the "huge midgets" and the "stripeless zebra", right?
And the Esquilax.  Born with the head of a rabbit and the body... of a rabbit!

(Is it alright if this is two pages old already?  :-[  I reeeally wanted to make that joke.)

I'm no fan of bacon but even I enjoyed watching it get cooked up.  Would have liked the sausage cam even better but was unable to view it.  Well done.

Christ.  I think I'll  watch just about anything you guys dish out.
And I'm worse than Hitler.

"The Bearded Man" is also at those circuses.

I'm just sad I missed Bridget.  I'm a fan.

Ditto!

I am bummed I missed Bacon and Sausage cam since I was at work but glad it went well. I hope this means a live show in the near future.

ShadowDog

I'd rather go to a theater for a live show than stream one online, personally.  But they probably make an assload more money if they stream it online because they don't have to cut in the theater network, so I get that.

Not just that, since there's fewer people involved on the production end we can do more than just a few big theater events a year. Plus, since we're, essentially, a web company we might as well play along at least to some degree. :P
