I added it my netflix queue, but they dont have a date for when it will be available.

And I see this is supposed to be a trilogy.... hmmmm

I would imagine the Japanese guy in this movie would be pretty into the idea, based on their pornography.

Well, it's just now getting a wider theatrical release, so I imagine it's going to be quite a while.

I may disagree with his thoughts on the movie, but dammit, I still love the man's wit.

Well, I've just acquired the movie. Not sure how to proceed from there.

I caught the midnight show for this movie the other night. It was pretty good, thanks mostly to the excellent villain. While it's a very squirm-inducing film, it's not especially graphic (only one scene was really devoted to the, um, mechanics of digestion, and they didn't show anything). So folks worried about this being a repeat of 120 Days of Sodom can rest easy. It is a very twisted and unique feature, definitely worth checking out if you're looking for indie horror that's *hand motion* different.

I just got the review of this for our website.  I'll be posting it as soon as I clean up some changes I made on the site.

It's a pretty good read.

Ha ha, thanks for making that connection (pun not intended)

"So, why are you making a human centipede, anyway?"

"It centers me."   ;D

I don't know...it looks weird and grotesque (which I'm assuming it was aiming for anyway), but when I was watching the trailer, the cinematography looked a little strange.  It was nice and clear (and probably in HD with the right settings), but there's a fine line between something looking "low-budget" and looking "cheap."   It had an artificial feel (and yes, I know ALL movies are artificial, but I'm talking lack of suspension of disbelief).  Maybe it's just because I associate low-budget exploitation filmmaking with a more gritty, dirty feel to it (a la Street Trash), and this looked extremely sterile and clean, like they were renting a house that they weren't allowed to make a mess in when they were done with the movie.

Of course, that could be the case, but it shouldn't show like that in the movie.

I actually noticed that too, how everything was so clean and sterile as opposed to the dirty, grimy, occasionally sepia-toned stuff one would expect. I assume that was intentional, considering the bad guy (who even freaks out when someone spills a glass of water in his living room). Intentional or not, it's still a nice change of pace.

...yeah. I think I've changed my mind about watching this.

QuoteBy throwing out terms like "medically accurate", it feels like a pathetic attempt to put this film and yourself in the first class section of the ship sipping a glass of champagne, when both you and the film clearly belong down in the third class cabins boozing it up on low grade whiskey with its target audience.

Still not going to see this (I don't mind gore, but this is just too disturbing for me), but I have to disagree with the quote here.  I think the 100% medically accurate thing puts it more in line with the old horror film advertising like "You must sign a waiver before seeing this film" or "No one will be admitted after the film has begun!"  Maybe that's just me.  Again, I hate to judge a book by its cover, but this movie is horrible and I hate it forever and ever.
