I do find it pretty offensive that he's somehow claiming to be a pioneer of African-American action films, especially since he's built this platform on what is apparently a pretty atrocious movie. Maybe nobody wanted to make it because it sounded like a piece of shit.

I also find it offensive that they say that people WOULD go see the movie if it was an all white cast... uh uh! Remember Flyboys? That piece of shit flopped hard, and it was just as awful as Red tails is, if not worse.

I need Lucas to explain these.  I went to IMDB and just grabbed the first 100 mostly black or black lead character movies.  I only went "A" - "T".  Where is the Racism that Hollywood is showing?

Well I just posted 121 films from IMDB that had mostly black casts, or black leads, but it was flagged as spam!  Anyway, where's the Racism Hollywood is showing?

Is he really saying that.  I have no plans on seeing this movie and it has nothing to do with the cast being black,it has everything to do with the trailer looking awful and being burned by Lucas before.

Well when Lucas was talking to Oprah in an interview that's how it sounded to me, that because it was an all black cast, nobody would go to see it. Yet there are plenty of WW II era films that feature all-white casts that sucked and bombed.... 1941 anybody? 1941 was better then red tails, and that is NOT an opinion.

I guess technically, you might be able to make an argument that Red Tails is racist in that it makes those guys look like complete jackasses in this movie, especially if it's banking on being 100% historically accurate.

and i have  to agree Lucas can be a douchebag sometimes, whether because he is genuinely naive and idiotic, or because he's trying to get at something and is just acting the part, i dont know.
