Nice to see that they can give a really positive review.  Actually makes me want to see the movie now.  I was going to wait until dvd because it just seemed like such a dumb concept, but this sounds good now.

Yeah, these guys are tough. Seems like a decent indicator this movie is pretty damn good.
What the fuck is it with the peeps having a hard on for this movie?! Fucking Cowboys and
Aliens wasn't that good!! It was a pretty ho-hum western with some sci-fi thrown in here
and there, the story wasn't that good, the action scenes were barely decent, characters
weren't anything ground-breaking or anything... so I gotta ask..... WHAT THE HELL is with
the unfounded praise? It's got a 44% on Rotten Tomatoes! That's only 8% higher than Dark of the moon!

I'll take Tombstone over Cowboys and Aliens any old day of the week.

Not just them, but fucking Cinema Snob! He declared it if I recall, BEST movie of the Summer,
oKay, that's a ballsy statement that couldn't possibly be backed up by the sheer number of
balls required for such a statement. I mean... everything about Cowboys and Aliens is basically
mediocre at best! Mediocre characters, mediocre story, mediocre action, there's no surprises,
and please don't tell me the woman being an alien is a surprise, because we all knew she was
an alien, looking at the trailer. Seeing Daniel Craig kick ass is cool, but he did it so much better
in Casino Royale and even in Quantum of Soul-less.

Cowboys and Aliens isn't bad, but it sure as hell isn't good. It's just plain damn mediocre. It lacks
ambition, vision, and heart. So therefore I hope you all will excuse my reaction if you enjoyed the
movie a lot.

You seem to feel pretty strongly about this.

I just meant that the Half In the Bag guys have proven themselves to be pretty unforgiving critics who don't let movies get away with anything. I've watched several of their reviews and tend to agree with most of their opinions. That leads me to believe that this movie will appeal to me. Then again, I might think it's mediocre, or even utter crap, but somehow I doubt that. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Well, feel free to decide for yourself. But I do believe even Red Letter Media can be wrong even
if it is a blue moon with hens teeth type of occasion.

Very mixed review of Captain America. I haven't seen it yet so I can't really comment. Bonus Rocketeer compare/contrast segment.

Man I loved The Rocketeer.  Glad to see them give it a shout out.

I really like the Rocketeer, but my favorite scene in it is when Jennifer Connelly is putting on her stockings
and attaching them to her garters... all movies should have scenes like that!

Hmm, not sure how you picked that up. I was totally agreeing with you. I find both her and that scene incredibly sexy. If it was the picture, that was the only one I could find.

Sorry, I am not always sure how to react sometimes... :) What matters is we're both in agreement
on Miss Connelly's hotness. :D

Hey I finally read the "rebuttal" to Red Letter Media's review of TPM, and... it was 108
pages of nothing. The guy who wrote it says he'll try to be fair, and he is fair.. selectively!
When he's not being "fair", he's going "okay, this guy is a dumbass" or "That is really,
really stupid", and he tries to back up his reasons, but then he seems to completely
miss the point of the argument or just doesn't seem to understand things at all.

Also, it wasn't 108 pages just of his Essay. a good chunk of it was quotes from RLM,
and there was a lot of imagery with thought or speaking bubbles filled with text in an
attempt to prove his point.
