Daredevil will probably result in a lot more gut laughter.

Some of Kevin's comments are hilarious:

"Being blind, physics no longer applied to me"

Nine words I thought I'd never write:

My copy of "Battlefield Earth" just arrived from Netflix.

At least you didn't have to actually walk in and face people in a video store and ask for it.
;^)

macleod

Yeah, I had to ask the Best Buy people if they stock B.E.....

what WAS I thinking...?

PlayMSTie

Well, that was quite possibly the greatest RiffTrax yet.  ;D So it was worth it. But I wonder if it's possible to give a movie a -1 star when Netflix asks me to rate it . . .

Heysie

I'm such a dedicated fan, I called my local Lackluster Video stores, and they didn't have any copies for rent, but one store had one previously-viewed copy for purchase. So I spent ages flipping through like, many 100s of DVDs, which were all out of order. I'm sure the store employees thought I was nuts, but it was worth it!

Question though--can someone tell me what it has to do with Scientology? Sorry if this has been covered. I'm not er, schooled in Scientology and am just curious--is it supposed to be some sort of prophesy thing, or...?

Pak-Man

It's based on a book written by the guy who wrote Scientology, but I think that's it...

Actually, I think that brief little crap with the holographic alien is part of their theology. The whole notion of wayward alien spirits and stuff like that.

I believe that was why Bill went nuts there

I'm still trying to figure out why those books were in mint condition after being exposed to the elements for roughly a millenium.
Oh well you see the aliens magnetically vacuum sealed all earth libraries with a policulanofrin toologfrickulator molecanliskcan beam because they heard a transmission on earth that said "books are more valuable than gold". So the morons went ahead and vacuum sealed all earth libraries with the aforementioned policulanofrin toologfrickulator molecanliskcan beam, mounted on a Jisculanbobulator makiskay cheska sebulba.

I will accept your hypothesis and thus obtain mental piece. :^)

You're going to have to, that's as sensical as it gets folks

Clouseau

I thought this one was just kind of okay. I've thought that in all of my years watching MST3K, now rifftrax, and then movies on my own, I'd have built a callous to bad movies, and I really wanted to see this. It might be a case of expectations being a little too high. The film was brutal, and while I thought the rifftrax was fairly funny, there were some cases where they had to move onto something new. The fart jokes with the fat guy got old with Overdrawn in the Memory Bank.

I thought the first third and the final third of the film were really well done, but some parts just fell sort of flat for me, when I needed it most.

macleod

Well, you might be alone there...I think Daredevil is the best one so far that had all three riffers
