Just bought The Room Rifftrax and went to Blockbuster to rent it, only it appears no Blockbuster in the USA offers the movie.  Is there any way to get my hands on the movie without buying it?  (I make them into mp4's for my PS3, so I'd have no need to keep the actual movie.)

I thought about that, but Netflix is a monthly subscription service and I'd really only be using it this once.  (I usually buy my movies on Blu-Ray, my collection is over 1,000 strong between Blu-Rays and DVD's), so there really wouldn't be that much difference between starting a Netflix subscription and just buying the movie.

Doctor Who?

Amazon has it.  Also netflix rents blu Rays and if you have a 360,PS3,Wii,or some types of Blu Ray players you can watch movies and tv shows instantly on your tv for no extra charge.  All that for only $10.99 a month.  Last time I check renting a movie from Block buster cost close to $7.00 for one movie,Netflix is better.

As i said you can buy it on amazon but it will cost more then one month of Nexflix.  If I were you I would just get a month of netflix and then cancle at the end of the month if I really didn't want it.  It's cheaper.

Netflix offers the first month free - it's right there on the site.

I don't know what the waiting period for The Room is because I don't have an account but..

(Three stars!!!!!!!!)

Good idea, Duck. I didn't even think of the free trial. And Netflix is showing that there's no wait...imagine that.

The availability on The Room from Netflix is "Now".  That means you should be able to get it within a day or two.  I don't know what the wait is if you're just signing up.  I know that if I put a Netflix in the mail, and the availability of the next movie in my queue is "Now", then I'll get the next day two days (not counting Sunday) after the next mail pickup.

As was mentioned, you can get Netflix for free for a month.  Aside from that, Netflix plans start at $4.99 a month (limit of two rentals per month, one rental at a time).

You can also buy it at Amazon.com for $8.99.

As tempting as that is, there's no way in hell I'm sending a check to Tommy Wiseau.

That's good advice for everyone by the way. The last thing you want to be tangled up in is an Eastern-European prostitution ring fronting for a film production company.

A money order, on the other hand... I'd also have to get the dvd mailed to a PO box or something. I don't want to end up on some Wiseau Films mailing list. :speechless:

I did it, and it really, really works.
