Okay, I just caught a little of High School Musical. I feel as if my soul has been injected with sodium pentathol and my brain removed and eaten by a Cthulu monster. Apparently in this one high school, of all the high schools in the world, the drama fairies are celebrated members of society instead of the freaky outcasts they are in the real world. There isn't enough ritalyn in the WORLD to make any teenager behave in this manner. As if the last two Pirates movies weren't reason enough, I'm making a special slot for High School Musical as reasons to destroy Disney now before it becomes self-aware and takes control of our nuclear arsenal. The horror. The horror.

That's the only way I'd watch that drivel, if it was riffed.  Other wise my remote avoids the Disney channel like the plague.

I like some parts of RENT but the ending just kind of killed it for me. 

Way too "Patrick Duffy in the shower" for me.  "Oh yeah I'm fine, I had a stereotypical near death experience, but lets sing!"

I've been thinking this through. Cloverfield seems like a perfect target -- it's a novel idea, it's full of 20 year old doofuses in life-or-death situations, and it's a kaiju movie. The only thing is, it doesn't look very riffable. It doesn't have traditional "movie moments" and it's very heavily narrated the entire time already.

It would certainly be a challenge, and I'd be interested in seeing it done, if nothing else, for this fact alone.

The book was interesting and I had always wanted to see it made into a QUALITY movie.  You'd think that they could have pulled it off but unfortunately not even Sir Ben Kingsley could save this steaming pile.  The CGI was some of the worst I've ever seen, they made a simple plot unbearable to watch unfold and the acting was terrible.
