i think gbeenie was saying its a comedy, becuase in interviews Mike Nelson has talked about the ideal movies for RiffTrax are the movies that take themselves too seriously.  Comedies arent always the best choice because, what are you going to make fun of, the fact that Joke A didnt work.

Oh I see, that's true.

You mean like Catalina Caper & Hobgoblins?

Wellll...hobgoblins DID have the stuffed animals.... ;)

but there have been a few comedy-like movies, like fifth element, and Willy Wonka, but what i think what i was tring to say was that if the movies if tounge-in-cheek tone  to them,  it dosent exactly lend well to riffing, plus on MST3K, they had the luxury of editing the movie down, where as RiffTrax, they cant.....

but kung-fu hustle might have some Riff fuel in there....

10 - Aliens versus Predator - Fairly easy mark with this one.

9 - Mosquito - Hard to not riff this one, it was so bloody ridiculous.

8 - Any of the Howling Movies - Especially Howling 2, since Reb Brown (From Space Mutiny) Does his trademark "Waaugh!" a lot.

7 - Starship Troopers

6 - Resident Evil 1 or 2 - Two is probably the worst thing committed to film

5 - Narnia - Same kind of theme as Lord of the Rings.

4 - Star Wars Episode III - Complete the Prilogy.

3 - Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children - I personally thought it was a silly film.

2 - Serenity - I love this film, so naturally I want to see it riffed.

1 - Van Hellsing - The only film I've bought from a bargain bin and still thought I wasted money.

There's a third one coming out - Resident Evil: Extinction.   So there could be some competition for "the worse".

(there's a trailer on Yahoo Movies, if you're interested)

sucks we gotta wait until September... I want to see that movie NOW already. Kinda funny that the trailer showed another glimpse of Milla in a lab, I'd be willing to bet that Milla gets naked in this again. Not that I'm overly exited about the possibilities or anything (we've all seen it) but find it interesting to be the only mainstream trilogy to feature the lead actress nude in every film. ;D
Can't wait for the sequel though, don't understand the haters, these movies are pure popcorn action fun.

I own Resident Evil 1, but 2? What the hell was that?
"Let's split up. Guy with gun, you go this way. Really intimidating girl, you go that way. I'll go over there, and reporter girl, you go that way."
"But.... I'm just a reporter."
"You'll be fine."
"No I won't!"
"Yeah."

No, 2 was agressively bad. Might still see 3, though. Gonna have to see the trailer.

Starship Troopers, being awesomely camp and fun as hell, and one of my favorite movies ever, is perfect for riffing.

Snakes on a Plane....perhaps it's too easy, but i think the popularity aspect for it is enough to warrant a good riffing.

Any Harry Potter movie. probably should've made a Rifftrax during the HP craze a week ago, but i have NO complaints with 300.

Mac & Me....pathetic cheesy 80's kids movie that's a ripoff of E.T. lots of product placement and a kid in a wheelchair flying off a cliff!

Also any movie that's currently in the theaters so we can try it at the theater with an iPod or whatever. would be interesting. but people would stare if you're laughing for no reason...

I saw bried parts of the trailer when I went to the cinema last, and it looks... Well... I'm sure if I was feeling more awake, or inclined to make the effort, I'd make some really searing commentary on how bad it'll be, but it's like punching a clown. It deserves it and all, but in the end being itself is enough of a humiliation.
