Welcome and it's time for another round of Which is____? This time it's
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas vs The Big Lebowski... so, which is better?

I'm guessing you will not accept "They're both entirely different kinds of movies and good in their own unique ways" as an answer?

ScottotD

I enjoy Lebowski more but I agree with Stan for the most part.

- how I read any complaint about MST3k (or Star Wars or Ghostbusters)

Will you accept "Haven't seen either - no interest"?

From your post-history I think you'd either like Lebowski or dislike it on principle.

Avoided it so far because I hate Julianne Moore.

Can't decide, I love, am interested in, and quote them on an equal basis.

That's fine. As long as that's what you truly believe.

That's sad cuz you're missing out on a great movie.  And her role is A.) couldn't be different than anything she's ever done, and B.) has a pretty small role, and C.) because The Dude abides... why can't you?   ;)

Maybe I'll give it a try.....   She didn't ruin Benny and Joon or Boogie Nights so maybe there are some films that can withstand her.
