How did this Transform you 2? (What have we learned?)

Yeah, one of my friends went to Michigan State, Freshman there aren't allowed cars either. I visited him there twice and it was obvious why they'd have that rule: parking was hell as it is. I went back to college this fall, I'm glad I went to a smaller place, because parking hasn't been much trouble for me at all.

As for what I learned: Micheal Bay has never used marijuana in his life. And it was fun to watch the guys call him out on that.

It's ironic, you'd THINK Micheal Bay smoked his body weight in pot daily. It's the only thing that explains robot balls and total reliance on special effects.
I used to have an image here, but Photobucket got cheap about remote linking. I guess I'll have to think of something witty instead. Which I will. Later. It caught me by surprise, in all honesty. It's hard to be clever on command, I mean, YOU try it. Be funny: NOW! See, tough. So, gimme a bit, 'kay?

Is it me, or does Mom's reaction to the pot brownie make you think that the writer got all their information about marijuana from Reefer Madness?

Now I demand to see some Pot Orgy scenes rivaling Reefer Madness in the next movie. It's not like they wouldn't sink that low.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

Maybe it was an allergic reaction or something.
Or maybe it was actually a crack brownie.
Or maybe Michael Bay is a douche.

To go one step beyond that...  I learned that it is so easy to find someone selling pot brownies on a college campus that a freshman's parent can get one immediately on the first day, even when they're practically virginal as to what it is.

I learned that a grown woman, who obviously lived through the 60's, has no idea what a pot brownie...is?  ???

Altogether it just plain offends me to see pot shown like that in a movie. I doubt it was a conscious effort to make it look worse than it really is, they were probably just trying to be funny. BUT at the same time I was thinking "Hey, asshole, you're not helping!" Especially when a couple scenes later they're guzzling down GLOWING ALCOHOL like it's no big thing. Not that I haven't had my fun with booze over the years, but I still hate seeing that hypocrisy.

Of course, you know we are assuming that the pot in the brownie was the only thing in her system....

Drug interactions can be hell.   ;)

It offends me that people find the Pot Brownie scene funny. I never found drug humor all that hilarious anyway. Now Bill Cosby Himself, that show makes me laugh every time.

BTW, I also learned that you can be in a car dropped from hundreds of feet front bumper down and - even though you're not wearing seat belts - you won't die, be injured or even get a scratch on you....

....because the airbags deployed (even though they should have but didn't earlier in the chase)?

I also learned that CGI still can't completely handle something as simple as Optimus Prime transforming so that they have to flash light in our eyes to cover the flaws....

My mom must have edited those parts out of the 80's recorded VHS video we watched. *shrugs* I don't know what else to tell you. I'll have to search up a video from an unedited source to see if he reveled in it or if it was put in a way that says it's stupid behavior.

"Now I asked my friend, what's so great about cocaine? He said it intensifies your personality. I said, yeah, but what if you're an ASSHOLE?"

I just about peed my pants the first time I head that.

According to this performance, drinking is just as stupid as drugs.  Or just enjoying yourself on the weekend even.....   ;)

Love the whole Himself album/video.

As for Transformers 2, I learned that Dis has a horrible singing voice.

Anyone made it through the whole credits? I made it through a few songs and then just couldn't take it anymore.

That's one of those things you do once just in case there's a skit at the end (like sitting through credits for some surprise scene) and never again.

Exactly.  I listened to the whole thing, I'm not sure what manner of illness caused me to do *that*.  But what did I learn - how to block things like Turturro's thong scene out of my mind.  If t memory starts to appear I just think happy thoughts to make it go away. Well maybe I actually learned that from The Room.
