Hey, I stayed at the Hotel Riu (the one in the very far back of Paradise Island) at the end of '05.
Here's a shot I took from our hotel balcony.

Here's one I took when our taxi driver pulled off the side of the road and proceeded to get drunk with us. Not the nicest looking beach but we drank about 200 yards across from Eddie Murphy's little island and got drunk.

We were only in Nassau for about 4 hours; Barely enough time to find the Hard Rock Cafe and stock up on Bahama Rum..
I wanted to go to that hotel just to check it out after watching the Casino Royal Rifftrax, but just couldn't make it
That's 1 thing that sucks about a cruise - The short amount of time your at a port (the other was that it was high school graduation at that time and that they were Annoyingly Drunk Every Day )
