So between the solo track on the legend dvd, the three man riff I downloaded, and two tickets apiece to the live show and the replay, this would make seventh time I've paid for a riff of Plan 9...this is not a complaint, every single time has been worth the money, and I'll love being able to watch that live show again.

And with that being said, you'll be glad to know that according to Mike and our CEO, we are retiring Plan 9. :)

Dont forget if you actually purchased the movie unriffed like I did!

This is great news!

Nope, the first time buying it was the Legend DVD with the solo track as a bonus feature.  In fact that was the first non-MST3K riffing I heard and it was at least another year before I heard about the site.

That's cool with me, it'd be hard to top the energy the live version had.

I just placed my order and am already looking at the mailbox for it.   The live show was so funny, I had a headache from laughing so much.

I hope you sell tons of these.

So can you hear the Nashville audience on this DVD?

I hope so.  I think the audience was part of the reason the show had so much energy.

As long as it's the same mix that we had in theaters it should be ok.  When I saw it on the unofficial 2nd show in the Lux Lounge there was only about 8 people in the place and the Nashville crowd wasn't overpowering.

We should have a sample up tomorrow. We're moving to a new office suite so time is tight.

My kids and I want a DVD of this whole broadcast! I think it makes a difference with the live audience (even the recorded live audience--we saw it again at the rebroadcast where there wasn't nearly the crowd as the live one) and the occasional visual insets of the comedians. I really think this is what we need to get the rest of our friends into all this--we love RiffTrax, but our friends just don't seem to "get" it. I think it's more accessible as a comedy routine with those visuals! Plus, we've never laughed so hard for so long in our lives. Please, PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE?!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Santa's definitely bringin' it this year. The fam will find out beforehand, I'm sure, though, because we're seeing RiffTrax Live in person in Escondido next week! I'm sure you'll be announcing this, but what's a few days early? They'll be surprised THEN!

Hopefully not a place with unisex bathrooms, cuz those are evil.

Didn't get to do the sample today because I went home early and it kinda fell off my radar. I'll get it online tomorrow morning.

Here's a sample to give you a feel for the show: http://www.rifftrax.com/dvds/rifftrax-live-plan-9-from-outer-space?sample

Looks much better than the sample from CT.  The people on the sides was a little distracting in theirs, not so much in the RT one.

Yeah and it only happens every so often, so you can focus on the movie more. I gotta say I did enjoy seeing Mike and the guys ever little while - adds another dimension and they're kind of fun to watch because they're very animated.
