Is there ever going to be a second Rifftrax Live?

I hope so.  I'd particularly like to see the next one be of 100% all new material.  New short, new full length movie.  I'm sure they could find something in the public domain to use.

If a movie in the theaters, say GI Joe  ::), bombs, the studios might not think this is a bad idea.  ANd I'm not sure how this might work. If I pay to see GI Joe, then I also pay an additional fee to see the riffing of it, would you still need the studio to sign off on something like that?  It would not be paying anyone else for the studio's work.  After all, I'm fairly sure that Rocky Horror is not in the PD but people pay money to go see that movie plus additional mockery entertainment.  Or is the issue the broadcasting of it to other theaters where you get into legal issues. (I know it's all filled with legal issues).

I wonder if Master Pancake Theater ever uses newer films...

Looks like they're using stuff as "young" as the 80's. But I'm betting they wouldn't be able to put out complete DVDs if they used something that "new". They'd prolly have to make a seperate riff and let folks find the DVD on their own.

I still say that if they do another rifftrax live, it'll be one of the films that Legend already has the rights to show/sell. They'd save money because essentially they'd be paying themselves to show the film. Also, some of the films (aka Reefer Madness, Night of the Living Dead, Little Shop of Horrors, Carnival of Souls) already have intrinsic cult film awareness by those that aren't always aware of Rifftrax.

I am still banking on Reefer Madness being the 2nd rifftrax live movie. It's only about 70 minutes, been colorized by Legend, would hook many many people who know of it from it's cult status, AND it could be done on a Tuesday, April 20 of next year (slow movie theater day, April 20 aka 4/20)

Yeah that'd be my guess too. That or Night of the Living Dead if they do one 'round Halloween time.
