Rifftrax Live In Florece KY 9-2-09!!

[jacha77]

Hey everyone.  I manage the Cinema De Lux in Florence KY.  We were just notified that we will be showing the Rifftrax Plan 9 From Outer Space on 9-2-09.   We won't be showing the live broadcast unfortunately.  But if you live in Florence KY (or in the Greater Cincinnati area for that matter) come on down to the Florence Cinema De Lux on Mall Road to catch the performance on September the 2nd!!  I'm definately going to be watching as I will fortunate enough to be on vacation that week!!

Hmm.  I got family in Cincy, gotta pass the word along, a couple of them might be intersted.  (My sister in law is a MSTie from way back, shown her a little Rifftrax but not much)

Definately pass the word along.  My theatre is still relatively new and most people in the Cincy area don't realize that we do cool events like this.  Definately want to get some business for the Rifftrax guys, but wouldn't mind a little business for my theatre too.  So definately pass it along, and thanks!!

Awesome! Glad to know that the show itself will still live on... I'll be interested to see if other theaters announce dates like this.

I know that a lot of the Fathom events have encore showings a few weeks after the original performances.  The Met Opera performances always have a repeat showing at some point after the original live broadcast.  Maybe they are waiting to see how much demand the live Rifftrax has before scheduling an official repeat showing.

That's basically what it depends on. Conor mentioned it in another thread, if we meet a certain percentage of ticket sales, they are more or less obliged to show an encore of it.

Well, I'm glad I visited the forum before I drove up to Mason tonight. Plus now my wife will probably go.

I figured I'd give this a bump since September 2nd is fast approaching.
