Here is a long shot......

I watched a movie about 8 months ago on TMC and want to buy the movie but cannot figure out the title.  It was an oddball movie that was shot during the 50's or 60's and is in black and white. The beginning of the movie the main character wakes up in his apartment, looks outside the window to see some gentleman come inside the home, they start to question the owner who in typical older films is a mother character who owns, maintains, and cooks meals for her tenants. She stalls the gentlemen who appear to be after the main character. The movie follows the main character who is blamed for a crime that is never mentioned and a mystery throughout the movie in addition to the mysterious characters that are after him. Throughout the movie, he tries to piece together the mystery upon why he is being followed or alleged of being a criminal. Another odd scene was his place of work, which was a giant factory that had desks, and typewriters all open. The scenes in his place of work were people sitting at desks acting robotic with their working habits. Most of the scenes reminded me of Russia, industrious yet in rubble. The movie is based on a Russian novel, but is in English and may be either a British film or English. The main Character spoke American English and was mildly popular. any help would be appreciated

If you ever need help with a movie title, the very best place for that is the I Need To Know message board at IMDb.com.  There's gotta be hundreds (if not thousands) of people on there with the combined superintelligence for movies that it actually becomes terrifying to see the most obscured stuff get answered.   ;D

Relaxing Dragon

Do they do anime movies? I've been trying to locate one for about a decade now, but am getting nowhere because I have barely any info on it.

Just PLEASE when you get an answer - put it in the title that it's done.

I stopped bothering with that board because of that.
