Ah, well that makes me a lot more interested in it!

Still, I'm saddened to see there's no Mike comentary on the forthcoming "She."

I would be a lot more likely to buy that!

I'm with you on that. Oddly enough we HAVE discussed it... however, Ray Harryhausen takes the work he did with Legend in restoring and colorizing it pretty seriously.. you could say it's one of his "babies." So it looks like a commentary on SHE is out - for now.

Of course the Ray Harryhausen commentary would be incredibly interesting too!

Thanks for the ebay tip.  Not that it matters but the reason I didn't buy it right off was that it wasn't signed and all my Legend releases have been signed (I missed House on Haunted Hill though, darn it) so I figured no rush.  Now I wasted about $20! YAY.

Not that you can *read* Nelson's signature anyway.  I have a poster signed by him early on that I got from the info club and you can read "Mike Nelson."  When he signs today, it looks like a bunch of loops.  It goes with a theory I have about celebrities.  When they first get famous, they're all happy and you can read their writing.  It's all new and fun and they're really excited that anyone even cares.  After a while, it's like "eh, whatever.  Just get it done."  Maybe it's writer's cramp.

Anyway, another DVD for my signed DVD collection!

Dang it. I can't stand the Three Stooges.

Based on the IMDB entry for this film, it seems that the Stooges just have extended cameos in this and are not the stars.

I hope so. I effing hate the Three Stooges. You guys didn't honestly believe we'd figure this one out, did you?

Coincidentally, there are 400 Mike Nelsons in Wisconsin. Which one's autograph will you get? The cheese packer? The tractor mechanic? The K-Mart stocker? If you're lucky, you might get the mayor of Moosedrop.

Cool. Three Stooges. But does this mean that the dvds won't get shipped out until 3/27?

I have a feeling that Mike didn't sit down and sign 400.  He probably signs as needed.  I could be wrong.  If so, poor Mike!  No wonder the sig normally looks like he has RSI or is under the influence.  Only kidding.  If I didn't appreciate it I would want a signed copy.  Thank you Mike for sacrificing your hand and your sanity for you fans.  Not many folks would do that.

I'd gladly buy you a beer or a wedge of cheese with accoutrements from the other Mike Nelson .

I doubt it, that is just when retail stores will get it.

I first bought this flick on a cheap-o Three Stooges collection, and the picture quality was downright awful. I'm glad that Legend has released this title. Definitely adding this one to my collection as soon as possible. LOVE the Three Stooges. "Swing Parade" is a great movie, even though the Stooges aren't in all of it. Can't wait to see the restoration, color, etc., and hear Mike's commentary. Everything sounds awesome. 8)

(BTW, I still cannot understand how anyone could NOT love the Stooges. Come on... it's the Stooges, for crying out loud!)
This iRiff will only be on sale for another few hours. Get it while it's cheap!

If you look at Cookieman108's profile page you see a "Real Name" badge which means he used his real name from a credit card to attribute his posts to. That name is S. Whear.

As long as it isn't U. Wear  :D

The synopsis for Swing parade kinda reminded me of I Accuse My Parents, lol... musta been the nightclub stuff. And the great songs!

Amanda, you're too young to remember all that pre-harddrive stuff! I had forgotten all about GEnie, I used to have an awesome COLOR signature!

My first computer was an 8080 processor built from a kit in 1978, it was called a SOL (oddly enough, lol). It used a cassette player to load cool programs like Eliza and Trucker...

Well at least this Rifftrax won't require running down the DVD.  Can't pass up yet another chance to own Mike's signature.  Not sure what I'm going to do with all these signatures though.  Maybe forgery?

I love the Stooges...  This will look nice to my other Legend Stooges DVDs.  Kudos on cranking out more colorized classics!

MODS:  You gotta admit the "Is it in color question" was a bit misleading since YOU GUYS were the ones that colorized it. ;)
