I'm sure that there's a difference in video quality over the VOD and that there are chapters, but aside from that, is there any difference? Are there any extras or menus on the Download to burn version?

BTW, I've been thinking Rifftrax needed something like this for quite a while. Glad they finally did it.

No features or menus, just the movie. We don't have the time or resources to make anything better than that - not at the moment, anyway.

Gotcha. Thanks for the info.

Also, the download-to-burn option was my idea... I felt that something like Planet of Dinos needed something special about it, since it was, IMO, a "return to mst3k-style movies" and I thought that people who would want to watch it might be scared off by VOD technology. Hopefully, having that option there will allow people to buy it who might not have otherwise.

Good call. Wouldn't mind some menus in further "download to burn" releases, though.

So is the video any better than the VOD release, or is it basically the same?

It's probably a bit higher quality than the Mpeg-2 that we rendered out, but I could be mistaken. I'll find out for sure from our TD.
