true, but at least they don't *sparkle*, *and* they have fangs, are repelled by crosses and garlic and such, y'know they follow the traditional European/Stokerian mythos/lore, the distinct lack of angsty navel-gazing is nice too

besides, you have to admit it was amusing when they were at the clothing shop, dealing with the snarky saleswoman, and Craig Ferguson's character encouraged "Niko" to feed

Niko emits a roar, and tackles the woman, draining her dry

They don't sparkle or angsty navel-gaze, and that's nice.

There's nothing clever or inventive about rub-your-face-in-dog-crap-urban-grittyness, with or without vampires.

A pastiche of Dracula and <Insert Generic Mobster Movie Here> is something I could do without. If I want vampires and criminal scumbags, I'll watch "Innocent Blood."
