Your Favorite Foreign Film

We started The Battle of Algiers in my class last week, but about halfway through the movie (around the part where the women disguise themselves as French so they can plant bombs) the DVD began to wig-out because it was scratched and we couldn't finish it. But what I have seen so far had me enthralled.

There's my tuition hard at work, my freakin' college can't even buy back-up copies for anything.

It's brilliant.  And sometimes, it's so utterly realistic, it feels more like a documentary than a fiction film.
