Is there a better movie studio than Asylum? I mean, really... c'mon.

Nuimage and Troma?

I like Troma a lot, but I'd personally liked Death Racers better than anything Troma has ever produced, to be honest.

Of course, it seems that Asylum didn't actually produce Death Racers, and only distributed it, from what I can gather.
http://www.imdb.com/company/co0043571/  They also Produced it.

IMDb is user edited. There's no real moderation. I could go on there and add a trivia item to the George W. Bush page, saying that he is considered one of the biggest clods of all time, and they'd accept it. (I won't, but theoretically, someone could do that and get away with it.)

When it was first announced, there wasn't any mention of Asylum producing it, and the original title was Road Rage, so I assume that it was independently produced and then distributed by Asylum.
well you know what they say about assumption... http://www.theasylum.cc/product.php?id=147

It's the disease that killed Nicole Kidman's character in Moulin Rouge?

(nevermind)

Yes, clearly they distributed it, but I haven't seen any evidence that it was produced by Asylum. Asylum has distributed a number of titles that weren't produced by the company, including movies made before the company was founded. Thus, when an independent movie called Road Rage is announced and comes out with distribution by Asylum with a different name, I assume that it was not an Asylum production, or at least it didn't initially start as an Asylum production.

Dim of the Yard

I'm all about Terry Gilliam.  Like, huge Gilliam fan.  I had to hunt around my DVD collection to find another name to throw out there, and the best I could come up with that wasn't already thrown out there was Edgar Wright.  (Or was he already thrown out there?)

He's receiving a British Film Award Lifetime Achievement thingy this year.  He seemed genuinely pleased in interviews.

Sometimes producers tack onto a film after its completion, or put their names on it simply because they're distributing the movie.

While Isaac's probably being pedantic, that is true about distributors buying the rights and then tacking their names on as producers.  Troma does it all the time, and the Weinsteins used to when they picked up smaller films.

I never said that I was right, just that I didn't know for sure. The only people who know for sure are the director and screenwriters.

Doctor Who?

People could you just pretend Isaac isn't here?

I don't want to get into another beef with him but I don't want to have to avoid every thread I start so if people could just pretend he doesn't post in threads I start that will be great and I will avoid every thread he posts in and then I think the forum will be a  much happier place.

I can live with you being right even though you have no proof. it's cool

I wasn't inferring that I was right or that you were wrong. I was just saying that all we really have to go by are a pair of user-edited websites (the Asylum article on Wikipedia is cluttered and unsourced). There's really nothing that says that either of us is right or wrong.

These issues were brought up, so two people are discussing them. You can't act as if I am not allowed to discuss anything.

I'm a big David Fincher fan (Fight Club, Se7en, Zodiac, The Game). JJ Abrams may be my other favorite.

I'm not posting in any threads you post in because whenever we post in the say thread people ask for me to be banned stay out of any thread start and I will only post in threads  start from now on is that too much to ask.

When I was a wee teen, I watched most of the Full Moon videos. Why... I have no freaking idea. Literally, I do not know why I did it. Nobody told me to. But they had ads in Fango. I believe those pages had subliminal stuff and LSD in them.

Favorite is too subjective to give anyone a free pass, so I'll just say I try to watch all the Stephen King miniseries and TV movies.

I've seen all of Woody Allen's movies (except Don't Drink the Water) up to Small Time Crooks, and then also Melinda and Melinda. They just don't show the new ones on channels I have, and I'm too lazy to get the DVDs.
