Gift certificate has remaining money, but unable to use it.

I was given a gift certificate for $20 and purchased one of the LOTR movies without incident using the gift certificate.  I am not trying to get the Star Wars prequel films ($8.99).  The check out web site says I have $16.01 left in gift certificate money.  I then select the option to pay using that money, select my saved address from my previous purchase, scroll to the bottom of the page, and then hit Review Order.

The web site then refreshes (quickly) and I get a new message at the top saying...

"Your final order total is $8.99, not $0. Please go back and select a different method of payment."

Needless to say I am confused since the previous order worked like a charm & the web site says I have plenty of money left over.

Mine is not working either. Luckily, I am a very patient person. I'm trying to order "Shy Guy", and I'm getting a pinkish reddish message, telling me that my order is not complete. I have around 55USD left on my gift certificate, so my money should be good in this here saloon.

I have the utmost confidence in the Rifftrax internet crew. So, whenever you get around to it, could you let me spend my money here? Please?

Yep, I'm also getting the same problem.  Used a gift certificate, then I get to the Review Order page, where my total is listed as 0.00, I hit the Submit button, and get the following message in pink / red:

"Your final order total is $7.98, not $0. Please go back and select a different method of payment."

WHAA??

Please help!!

Really? Strange, it was just working. I can't look at it now but I will first thing in the morning... thanks for your patience.

I decided to go and fix it now, while I'm still thinking about it.

I got it working again. Sorry about that, I'm trying to add some new features, and it seems whenever I create new ones, the old ones break.   Please let me know if you encounter any issues like this again.

this is a slightly different issue but can we use our gift certificate even if it doesnt cover the whole cost?  ive got a buck and change and i want to get the calender and the shorts dvd just hoping to use up taht last bit.  is that not possible?  thanks

Last time I had gift certificate meney left over like that it just automatically used the rest of it and put the rest on the credit card I entered.

yeah I'm working on this next week, a better way to use the certificate money.

Thing is, not everyone wants it to "automatically" debit. I'm working on a solution that'll allow the best of both worlds. In the meantime I'll try to get it back to the way it used to behave.
